A team studying a boat-shaped hill in eastern Turkey announced that new radar images show a large underground man-made structure.
Noah’s Ark Scans released a preliminary report on the Durupınar Formation in Ağrı Province, Turkey, claiming that the 515-foot boat-shaped mound contains a ‘man-made object.’
An experienced engineer performed the scans and developed detection systems for U.S. defense agencies. He used his invention, BakhtarRadar, originally designed to locate buried tunnels, to examine the Durupınar mound and determine if it was solid rock or a man-made structure.
The investigation has determined that the object beneath the Durupınar mound is a large, organized man-made structure with corridors and chambers. He remarked, “Whatever lies beneath the surface is extraordinary. In my forty years of experience, I have never seen anything like it. It could be a ship.”
The radar data indicates an organized structure, as a solid geological mass wouldn’t produce such a strong signature. The Bible states that this massive vessel saved humanity and various animals from a catastrophic flood over 4,300 years ago.
He stated that the new radar images do not resemble typical rock or natural hills in Turkey. Instead, they reveal organized features like repeating lines, angles, and open passageways, along with corridors and chambers extending along the alleged vessel trapped underground.
He stated that the radar is designed to conceal ordinary natural features, such as rocks, while highlighting buried structures, open spaces, and man-made materials.
The team determined the object is not a natural geological formation because of its complex patterns. They believe it may be the site of the ark from the biblical Great Flood. “Natural ground doesn’t create corridors and chambers,” he explained. “This system differentiates buried structures from the surrounding geology.”
The 2019 radar survey revealed linear and angular anomalies, suggesting possible walls and passageways. Core drilling for samples began in late September 2026 under the guidance of a Turkish university-led program.
The initial drill holes hit a hard layer at a depth of 12 to 15 feet in the Durupınar Formation. Samples are being sent to external laboratories to test whether they contain decayed wood.
The full radar scan is set to be completed by November 2026, with further lab results to come. The next key step in the investigation is testing the structure for animal DNA. In Genesis 6:19-20, God instructs Noah to bring pairs of each animal onto the ark for their survival.
Genesis 6:19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
Genesis 6:20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.
Noah’s Ark Scans is in talks with scientists who specialize in recovering ancient DNA from deteriorating materials like bones and teeth buried for millennia.
The Vice President of the Noah’s Ark Research Project and founder of Noah’s Ark Scans announced, “We have identified a massive, 515-foot boat-shaped structure with organized patterns in the Mountains of Ararat, where Genesis places the Ark.”
The challenge is proving that this vessel preserved living creation during a catastrophic flood. Evidence will come from identifying ancient animal DNA in the voids mapped within the structure.’
