Over 250,000 protesters marched across France, demanding more investment in schools.
After over two weeks of high school protests in France, police have arrested 6,100 individuals, primarily minors with no prior criminal records.
In one incident, a 14-year-old boy had his jaw and teeth shattered by a police tear gas grenade. The officer involved was charged with violent mutilation and could face up to 15 years in prison. After surgery, the boy cannot speak and can only eat through a straw, according to his mother.
A 15-year-old lost a hand to a police stun grenade in Tours, Loire. A prosecutor suspects a police riot-control round caused partial blinding in a 16-year-old.
Many schools lack essential staff, including supervisors, nurses, and psychologists. Some face serious problems like broken toilets, collapsing ceilings, classroom flooding, power outages, and infestations, along with concerns about long school days and teacher shortages.
At times, teachers are absent for weeks without a replacement, and buildings can get uncomfortably hot during summer heatwaves. But other schools have it worse.
Less than two weeks ago, thousands of students protested the government’s neglect of secondary education by skipping school. Calling themselves the “disenchanted generation,” they demanded better educational conditions.
Within days, the situation turned chaotic. Over 20 schools across France have been set on fire, and 78 teachers have been injured in violent assaults. Why would protesters, claiming to seek “better education,” destroy schools and attack teachers?
A firefighter is engulfed in flames as a nearby mob laughs. A teacher is doused in gasoline by thugs as his school burns down. A woman’s face is ignited by a masked assailant with a makeshift flamethrower.
These riots are no longer about education; political elements have co-opted them to express disdain for France, Europe, and Western civilization.
Two dozen schools have been burned and ransacked, cars overturned, and buses and fire engines destroyed. This chaotic scenario in France began as a protest over underfunded public schools but has since escalated into violence attributed to Islamo-leftist extremism.
A student protest involving a few minors became an Islamic intifada? Intifada is an Arabic word meaning rebellion, uprising, or resistance movement.
Paris and other cities are flooded with foreign flags as discontented youths express their anger towards France. One masked individual shouted, “In the name of Allah, we can kill them all,” drawing cheers from the crowd. We are witnessing an uprising in the heart of Europe.
Opening a nation’s borders without prioritizing integration over multiculturalism was a serious mistake. The swift shift from school protests to an Islamist-inspired uprising was alarming.
President Donald Trump faced criticism for linking riots to uncontrolled mass migration, stating that the issue is more about Islam trying to dominate a once-great country than about schools.
Anyone who describes Europe’s immigration crisis as an “invasion” — as Trump has previously done — is quickly labeled as racist.
Towns in France look like war zones, filled with wrecked cars and burnt buses. The protests are unsettling, with vandals waving Algerian and Moroccan flags. In Marseille, North African youths rode motorbikes through the city center, displaying the Palestinian flag.
The extreme left party, now forming an unholy alliance with Islamists and socialists, has played a particularly negative role. Both the Islamists and the far left share a violent disdain for the Western way of life.
