The Asbury Revival started on Feb 8, 2023. Over the weekend, more than 20,000 people attended, with five overflow buildings and a grass lawn filled with a 2.5-mile backup of cars going into Wilmore.

The pouring out of the Holy Spirit has spread to other colleges such as Lee University and Samford University, along with signs of God moving among Cedarville and Baylor Universities students.

Students at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Texas A&M University, and many other universities. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Asbury has been shared through Social Media to the world. People have come far from Finland, Brazil, and the Netherlands to Ashbury to experience the Holy Spirit. People worldwide are hungry for God.

The Bible speaks of the early and later rain.

Hosea 6:3  Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

At the same time that the revival is happening, it coincides with the national Collegiate Day of Prayer, which had been scheduled for a year to occur this Thursday, Feb. 23.

On their website, it says,

For the first time in CDOP history, every college campus has been adopted in prayer BEFORE the appointed day. But we can’t stop there. Even though every campus has been adopted, we want to saturate every campus in America with prayer. We want to see this Generation raised in revival and awakening.

Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled.

The Bible speaks of an outpouring of the Holy Spirit before Jesus returns.

Joel 2:28  And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

Joel 2:29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

The First rain of the Holy Spirit started in Acts 2 when the Holy Spirit was first poured out in an upper room.

Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

Acts 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

Acts 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

The return of Jesus is near.

A nonstop Kentucky prayer ‘revival’ is going viral on TikTok, and people travel thousands of miles to participate.

Christian service at a college chapel in Kentucky has ballooned into a nonstop prayer and worship session on 2/8/2023 that some call a “revival,” People travel thousands of miles to participate after seeing viral videos on TikTok.

According to university employees, the growing event started as a routine chapel service at Asbury University, a small Christian college in Wilmore, Kentucky.

At the tail-end of the meeting, a couple of dozen lingering students assembled informally in a gathering that’s been going for nine days straight, 24 hours a day.

The setup is simple. No projector screens or high-tech integrations, just wooden sanctuary chairs filled with people and an open altar call with an invitation to prayer that still hasn’t ended. “Asbury Revival” is racking up millions of views.

The hashtag #asburyrevival had 24.4 million views on TikTok. The editor of the student-run website wrote, “Peers, professors, local church leaders, and seminary students surround me, all of them praying, worshipping, and praising God together.

“Voices are ringing out. People are bowing at the altar, arms stretched wide,” she wrote.

“A pair of friends cling to each other in a hug, one with tears in her eyes. A diverse group crowds the piano and flawlessly switches from song to song. Some even sit like me, with laptops open. No one wants to leave.”

“The Holy Spirit was tangible in the room,” said a student at the University of Kentucky. “Chains were broken, confession happened, and God was praised as holy, holy, holy.”

“Students and staff from 22 schools have visited so far, alongside groups from Hawaii to Massachusetts,” university faculty said. Travelers from Singapore and Canada are expected to arrive soon, they added.

Historically, Christian revivals, like The Great Awakening, are marked by conversions and wildfire growth.

Reports over the last couple of years show that financial institutions have targeted multiple conservatives. Banks want Christian ministries to disclose who gives more than 10% of their funds to them and the criteria for supporting candidates as a 501c4.

Since the 2020 election, banks and corporations have denied service to some Trump supporters, and Christian employees continue to be fired for speaking out about their faith.

One evangelist decided to found his own bank with the help of his good friend, who has an extensive financial background. The bank is to be a full-service financial institution headquartered in Dallas, TX, and available around the globe. The bank is trying to raise capital to purchase an “identified bank.”

Radical cancel culture has infiltrated virtually every sphere of our lives, whether our public schools, colleges, government institutions, or corporations. An ever-growing number of religious employees and business owners have lost their livelihoods at the hands of this extreme and toxic ideology.

The dangers of the woke corporate culture want to force people of faith to celebrate ideas and actions at odds with their religious beliefs. The consequences of this toxic ideology are severe. Anyone who doesn’t conform will be punished and ostracized, putting their careers, businesses, and families at risk.

Everyone with money in banks should spread it out to two or even three banks and keep cash on hand to carry them over for a few months. The economy is very shaky, and no one knows what will happen week to week.

Loneliness has become a “profound threat” to public health partly because many Americans have stopped attending church, according to a report on the healing effects of social connection released by the United States surgeon general.

They believe the church is an important source of social connection. Many Americans and the world struggle to form meaningful bonds without them.

“Religious or faith-based groups can be a source of regular social contact, serve as a community of support, provide meaning and purpose, create a sense of belonging around shared values and beliefs, and are associated with reduced risk-taking behaviors.”

“As a consequence of this decline in participation, individuals’ health may be undermined in different ways,” the report says.

Loneliness is associated with a greater risk of cardiovascular disease, dementia, stroke, depression, anxiety, and premature death.

Social connections have dwindled because of Covid, the internet, church attendance, and attendance in community groups such as fitness, religious, hobby, professional, and community service organizations. 

Over the past decade,  Americans who attend religious services at least a few times per year have fallen by 13 percentage points. In 2022, the survey showed that 43% of U.S. adults attended religious services at least a few times each year, compared to 56% in 2013.

Christians make up less than half of the U.S. population. Young people want to understand that Christianity is true; they also need to understand that it is good faith.

“That it matters in the world, that it can be for better friendships, better community engagement, serving the poor, generosity, lives of impact, community transformation,” explained the president of the Barna group.

A video that went viral on social media over the weekend, posted to multiple platforms, and viewed more than a million times shows a security guard at the mall located in Bloomington, Minnesota, telling the man, “If you want to shop here you need to take off that shirt.”

The man asked, “What is wrong with my T-shirt?”

“It is religious soliciting. There is no soliciting allowed on mall property, which is private property,” the guard replied.

Another part of the video showed the same guard also saying, “Jesus is associated with religion, and it is offending people. People have been offended.” the video, which was recorded on Jan. 7, has sparked outrage against the mall online.

One Twitter user wrote: “I automatically assumed this was overseas, but it’s right here in America.”

“If I ever go to the Mall of America again, I’m wearing the biggest Jesus shirt I can find,” another user wrote.

One group called Bloomington Patriots is organizing a protest at the mall on Feb. 4, asking people to wear their “Jesus Saves” shirts.

The Mall of America confirmed that the man, who’d previously been issued a temporary trespass notice for solicitation, was eventually allowed to stay inside the mall and wasn’t required to change his shirt.

The mall prohibits inappropriate attire, including apparel that “has obscene language, obscene gestures or racial/religious/ethnic slurs that are likely to create a disturbance.”

With crops failing, some 49 million people are at risk of starvation; many farmers only grow enough food to feed their families. “People will be forced to flee to look for food,” warned Rein Paulsen with the U.N.’s Food and Agriculture.

A poor U.S. harvest this year is setting back efforts to relieve a global food supply that Russia’s war in Ukraine has constrained, agriculture-industry executives said.

Persistent drought conditions in the U.S. and agricultural countries in South America, along with uncertainty over crop production in Ukraine, make it harder to relieve global hunger.

High temperatures this summer exacerbated drought conditions in the U.S. West and the country’s Great Plains.

The intense heat in states such as Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma set in as corn crops pollinated in many parts of the Grain Belt when the plants require the most water.

According to agriculture analysts, some corn crops were also planted late this year after a wet spring, causing some yield loss.

“The current market expectation is that global grain and oilseeds markets need two consecutive normal crop years to stabilize global supplies,” Mr. Magro said.

This year, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine disrupted shipments from one of the world’s top grain-exporting regions. The Black Sea grain-export deal has helped free up grain storage space for Ukrainian farmers and give them cash for next year’s crop.

Without sufficient sales, farmers could struggle to buy the seeds, fuel, and other goods needed for fall planting, executives and analysts said.

Those factors have increased food prices this year, especially for poorer countries.

Many youths in Texas high schools are sparking a revival. And as they preached the Gospel to schools, supernatural things were happening, mirroring the book of Acts.

A revival is also stirring amongst students in Corpus Christi, Texas. It’s like what has recently unfolded at Asbury University in Kentucky, Texas A&M University, Lee University in Tennessee, and other college campuses.

The students of A Church are doing campus missions to “20 different high schools in the Corpus Christi Bay area.” And they’ve been doing it “for a year now.” With prayers and faith,  they have established these Bible clubs on the campuses.

Many kids are turning their hearts to Christ in Texas high schools because of several young believers’ passion for reaching the lost. The Senior Pastor and Youth Pastor attested to the revival among the youth.

“We’re seeing a mighty move of God outside of our four walls, it’s amazing,” pastor Mike remarked. We’ve been watching what’s been happening at Asbury and other places. And we’re seeing true revival at those places. It’s incredible, and we pray that it continues.

Then he shared, “As for us, we’ve got young people preaching and praying for the sick, ministering the sick. We’ve got student-led preaching and altar calls in numerous schools. They’re not just doing Bible study, and the schools are allowing this to happen.”  

The student-led campus outreaches are held on school grounds. They conduct it during no classes, break times, lunchtime, and after school, the Pastor said. He shared that “supernatural things are happening” as the kids preached the Word of God. And many accepted Christ as a result.

“We’ve been seeing Joel 2 fulfilled,” he said. “We are seeing special impartation for the youth to preach and prophesy. Teens, both boys, and girls, together are making this work.”

The flames of revival are being felt again on the campus of Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where students participated this week in 72 hours of continuous prayer and worship, leading to the baptisms of 20 people Wednesday night.

Many have referred to it as a potential new Great Awakening in U.S. history, or an outpouring of the Holy Spirit started on the campus of Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky, in February, where thousands of Christians gathered for two weeks of Spirit-led worship, prayer, and repentance.

Since then, the outpouring has spread around the country, especially among young people. Baylor’s Office of Spiritual Life, in partnership with multiple campus ministries and local churches, hosted FM72, a gathering of college students for 72 hours of continuous prayer March 19-22, on Fountain Mall.

“The purpose of FM72 is to stir a passion for Jesus Christ in the Baylor community,”  the chaplain and director for Campus Ministries at Baylor, said in a statement.

“It is a time to take inventory of one’s own journey, to linger in prayer, and to recalibrate towards what is most important: our shared faith in Jesus Christ.”

“Simply put, the goal is that every person experiences a clear, caring, and compelling invitation to know Jesus and to find a discipleship community where they can grow and flourish,” he added. FM72 is not the first revival event at Baylor.

In 1945, Baylor students prayed for renewal for 90 days, and the impact of it was felt worldwide, igniting ministries like the Passion Conference and Journeyman Mission program.  FM72 is a reminder of what we yearn for, of spiritual promises yet to be fulfilled.

Students become mindful of what God has done in the past and hope that they too can carry forward the torch that is entrusted to them,” he said. “As I heard one student pray, ‘Lord, we ask for a forest fire, not a grass fire.’

“That is a movement that will transform the trajectory of this generation from being one trapped by anxiety and fear, and instead released to the wide-open spaces of joy and freedom in Christ and experiencing the delightful surprise of the peace and presence of the Holy Spirit.”

A four-day revival event at a local church in Hammond, Louisiana last year has blossomed into a multi-week of revival, and it shows no signs of stopping. The revival is now in its 20th week. 

James 4:8  Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

On Beaches to Prisons, Thousands of Salvations, Baptisms  Across America.  Signs of revival have been ongoing around America since a revival began at Ashbury College in February.

The Revival seemed to be happening among college students mainly, but the latest evidence is being seen in the form of thousands of salvations and baptisms at churches across the country over the past two months.

People being baptized at churches, to dozens being baptized at one prison, pastors across the U.S. are declaring that God is on the move. Is this the Last Rain in  America and across the world?

The Pastor of a Church in Cincinnati said,  “Over the past two weeks, we have seen 650 people give their life to Jesus, 93 baptized, and yesterday hundreds of people filled the altars seeking the baptism of the Holy Spirit.”

The pastor at a church in Florida tweeted on Sunday, “Today we baptized 21 people at the beach. God is good! What a blessing!”

At the Jersey Shore Campus, 17 people professed their faith in Christ through public baptism.

Several students at the University of Houston chose to be baptized in a public fountain after a Bible study. And Regent University in Virginia Beach just baptized nine students last week.

A revival was reported in mid-April in Damascus, Maryland, at a church with non-stop worship that lasted for several days, with young people dedicating their lives to Christ.

A church in Duluth, Georgia, posted, “Two Sundays ago on Easter Sunday, this 91-year-old man I’ve been witnessing for a year and a half gave his life to Christ. Today I baptized him as he verbally and publicly confessed his faith in Jesus. The gospel is STILL the power of God to all who believe!”

The God Behind Bars ministry reports, “FIRST BAPTISMS INSIDE OF THIS PRISON IN 7 years. Until this moment.”

Thirty-five men in a prison in Reno, Nevada, were baptized!! What a powerful moment.”

A recent conference at a Church in Lancaster, South Carolina, reports, “Many were saved over the two days, and even more were encouraged to Keep on For Jesus! At the close of the Service, God moved on my heart to ask for prayer for those teens battling suicidal thoughts, and over 20 raised their hands saying they needed prayer.”

For the last few weeks, a Church in Winterville, North Carolina, has reported baptism after baptism, week after week. Missionary Church North Campus in Ossian, Indiana, reported 31 baptisms just a few weeks ago.

Two weeks ago, 14 more baptisms were reported at a Church in Modesto, California. And the list goes on and on. For weeks, churches have been reporting multiple baptisms and salvations.

So is this the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in acts about the end of the world before Jesus returns?

Acts 2:16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

The revival fire ignited at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky, earlier this month has spread to other campuses throughout the United States and has gone worldwide.

Asbury University has experienced revival–eight times in 1905, 1908, 1921, 1950, 1958, 1970, 1992, and 2006. But the 2023 revival is different because of social media.

 God moved in Ashbury, and other university campuses are reporting the winds of repentance & revival. The outpourings of God’s spirit are happening at more than 20 campuses.

People travel thousands of miles to participate in the Revival after seeing viral videos on Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok.

People came for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit from El Salvador, Singapore, England, New Zealand, Canada, Brazil, Finland, the Netherlands, Indonesia, the Philippines,  and almost every U.S. state.

Eastern Kentucky University, Lee University in Tennessee, Samford University in Alabama, Cedarville University in Ohio, Baylor University in Waco, Texas, Texas A&M University in College Station, and Regent University in Virginia Beach, Indiana Wesleyan, and LSU, to name a few.

Even schools in Texas are receiving the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

A campus pastor at Lee University said that a group of students who had watched what was happening at Asbury “asked their professor if they could go to the chapel and pray that God would move on our campus as well.” The professor said, “yes.”

The class of eight to nine students went to the chapel and began to pray. Within a couple of hours, the room started to fill with students, faculty, and staff.  He described the continuous time of prayer and worship at Lee as “a predominately spontaneous movement of prayer” and “a beautifully sacred movement” that has continued into this week.

At Texas A&M, a secular college,  Worship, Repentance, prayer, healing, and Baptism. The worship gathering was spontaneous and student-led; no leader was needed.

The outpouring of the Holy Spirit that began at Asbury college is spreading across the country. It’s spreading to all types of spots, from secular colleges to theaters to youth events to special church services.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

A revival at church-related events like a youth rally in Portland. A  church in Washington, D.C., opened its doors to allow an extended revival service, and the Holy Spirit is moving on secular college campuses as well.

The outpouring of the Holy Spirit has been felt at the Western Kentucky University at Bowling Green, where groups of students have been gathering together for prayer and worship.

The Holy Spirit outpouring at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and the revival at Texas A&M continues.

There is a report of an outpouring of God’s power leading to repentance from sins like pornography, marijuana, lust, and more at Oral Roberts University this week.

The First rain of the Holy Spirit started in Acts 2 when the Holy Spirit was first poured out in an upper room.

“There was a clear rumble on campus,” students were running from their classes to the chapel. And then I knew something was definitely happening.” said the campus pastor at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee.

For the next ten days or so, the outpouring and worship didn’t stop. Weeks from these unique spiritual events, the pastor said the impact is still palpable.

Public worship services have been ended, but prayer and seeking the Lord have continued.

“There’s been a clear, indefinite atmospheric shift on campus,” he said. “That’s unquestionable; the students are continuing to pray, they’re still continuing to seek God.”

They’re still continuing to press in and believe in this outpouring that’s been happening.” The life change is real,” the pastor said. He has been performing baptisms on campus in the wake of the Lee revival.

The director of the North American Mission Board, tweeted a video clip from a Sunday night meeting, writing that “God showed up” in Oahu, Hawaii’s North Shore.

“God showed up in a powerful way at the Young Adult night on the North Shore of Oahu last night! Twelve decisions to repent and trust Christ, and many others made decisions to surrender and pursue personal revival! They even extended the meeting because of how God was moving.”

In Norman, Oklahoma, the Holy Spirit outpouring at the campus of the University of Oklahoma. 

The outpouring is being felt in Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. At a recent meeting, 300 students came to watch the Collegiate Day of Prayer simulcast from Asbury in Wilmore, Kentucky. Students brought in a pool for what they thought would be three baptisms; instead, 20 people came forward to be baptized. 

The founder of Sermon Index wrote he had met an Amish man in Maine who had heard about the Asbury revival. 

“Speaking today with an Amish man in Maine. He knew about the revival in Asbury!!! He said Revival is about Repentance. I said, ‘Amen.’
Revival news is spreading.  Even the Amish know! God spread it more.”

 Pray for the students, faculty, and others who participated in these revivals for lasting change in their lives and the spread of the Gospel.

A four-day revival event at a local church last year has turned into a 19th week of revival in Hammond, Louisiana.

The revival started on Oct. 16 at the Old Zion Church located northwest of Hammond on Highway 442.  On the first night of the revival, there were only about 125 people in attendance; by the fourth night, the gymnasium was packed.

A 2,500-seat tent was set up to help accommodate the large crowds. There are no signs the revival is ending; it’s only gaining momentum.

Over the last 19 weeks, more than 1,300 have been saved, and countless other lives have been changed.

The school ended the Asbury revival, and the Hammond, Louisiana revival is still ongoing, with an estimated 25,000 to 30,000 people attending so far.

Prayer services are scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Worship services are scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays under the blue tent.

The outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Asbury is still burning as reports of revival come from the campuses of secular universities, high schools, and churches across the country.

Many are calling the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Ashbury the beginning of a new great awakening within Christian history that started in February when thousands of Christians gathered for two weeks of Spirit-led worship, prayer, and repentance until the leaders of the school stopped it at their university.

Stopping an event that the Holy Spirit starts is called quenching the Spirit, which is precisely what the leaders of the university did. The devil seeks people that he can devour.

1 Thessalonians 5:19 Quench not the Spirit.

1 Peter 5:18 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

But God will leave places where he is not wanted and find other places he desires; one place where the Holy Spirit has been felt is Texas A&M in Corpus Christi, Texas. The student’s Texas A&M worshiped together at a recent outdoor service, singing, praying, and answering the gospel call by being baptized.

“The Lord is not slowing down,” Inspire  Broadcasting Network wrote. “Texas A&M  Corpus Christi, Texas.” on Facebook posted photos of students and some older people praying and worshipping together beside Kyle Field, the university’s stadium in College Station.

The outpouring continues  679 miles away at Highlands College in Birmingham, Alabama. A Church in Harrisonville, Mo., shared a video clip on Twitter Wednesday of students being baptized into Christ at Highland College. There has also been a report of revival at a high school in Washington state.

A Twitter user posted photos of students praying and worshipping together. A middle school in Knoxville, Tennessee, reported the results of the school’s annual Discipleship Days as the school welcomed back its alumni.

Posted on Facebook “Incredible messages, intense worship, and nearly 30 lives eternally changed! Please join us in prayer that the spirit will continue to move in the lives of our students in the weeks and months to come.”

Posted to Twitter on March 13, an evangelist explained the United States “will never experience revival, until the churches in our nation experience revival. And our churches will never see revival until the individuals who make up the church see revival,”

“See, revival always comes from God but always through his people. And if you go throughout church history, every time there is a Great Awakening or spiritual movement, it always started with a group of young people who got serious about following the King of Kings and Lord of Lords Jesus,” he explained.

“I agree! Most churches in America are lukewarm or just dead because of the leadership behind the pulpits or lack of leadership, and many congregations are not interested in the move of the Holy Spirit because it would interfere with their everyday lives.

England has a religion that is called self or I, and over here in America, we have many in the churches that worship and serve themselves and are in that religion of I and don’t even know it. Many are playing church or doing their weekly duty.

You will notice that the devil said five times I or self.

The revival fires from the Asbury University outpouring of the Holy Spirit continue to spread to college campuses nationwide.

The Holy Spirit outpouring has reached two more colleges in Pennsylvania and Missouri and a middle school in Tennessee.

Valley Forge College in Pennsylvania is still in service since 11 AM 2/23; the school has canceled classes for tomorrow! the University of Valley Forge is a private Christian university and is part of an international network of Assemblies of God colleges and universities.

The Facebook group Smith Wigglesworth, shared a message, an image, and a short video from YouTube, with the headline “REVIVAL HITTING VALLEY FORGE COLLEGE.”

The Holy Spirit is moving to Hannibal-LaGrange University in Hannibal, Missouri. The national Next Gen director for the North American Mission Board (NAMB) said,  “Full house at university on a Wednesday night, eight students saved.”

“Many of the faculty, staff, and students stayed after chapel to continue praying together!” “19 more people got saved at Hannibal LaGrange University tonight!!!”

Spontaneous worship and prayer have reportedly begun at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky. The prayer and worship gathering on the campus haven’t stopped since they started on Monday.

A middle school in Knoxville, Tennessee, reported the school’s annual Discipleship Days results in a recent Facebook post. Several middle school students held prayers, shared confessions, and even made professions of faith. Leadership at the school changed planned afternoon activities and allowed students to lead one another in song and prayer.

This led to students repenting, confessing, and seeking Christ. “God can speak in showers or waves, and at last week’s Discipleship Days, He decided to flood our campus with His presence,” said Upper School Principal.

“We praise God that students’ lives have been transformed forever, and we have witnessed eternity-changing decisions through this schoolwide initiative,” concluded the statement.

School officials said that the Asbury University revival isn’t stopping, but the schedule is changing after Sunday, the last public evening service at Hughes Auditorium.

Evening services after Sunday at Hughes Auditorium will be reserved only for high schoolers and young adults under 25.

The last public afternoon service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. In a statement released Saturday, they also announced the revival would soon be moving off campus. The final public evening service will be held Sunday night, with the revival set to leave campus after Thursday.

Line Stretches Half a Mile as the Fruit of Revival Is on Display at Asbury. Cars line the streets of Wilmore for blocks and illustrate the widespread interest this spontaneous revival at Asbury has attracted.

But they hope its spirit is carried on elsewhere. People arrive from Finland from the Netherlands, and they have come from all over the country. Students and faculty from 24 schools in Hawaii, Massachusetts, Illinois, Minnesota, Tennessee, Indiana, and other states have made the trek to Asbury to join in on the religious experience.

Other schools have even started revivals and religious services inspired by the events happening in Wilmore. Lee University in Tennessee, Anderson University in Indiana, and Ohio Christian University near Columbus are among the schools to have joined the movement.

Over 20,000 people came to the university over the weekend!

What started as a routine Wednesday morning chapel at Asbury University, in the small town of Wilmore, Kentucky, on February 8, is now on its “tenth day” of continuous worship, prayer, repentance, testimonies, Bible reading, and transformed lives.

Zephaniah 3:17 The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

On Social media, live-streaming videos, and other wonders of the internet age, what is happening at Asbury is happening on a world stage as a mighty move of God.

People hungry for the move of God are flocking in person or online to Asbury’s Hughes Auditorium, the university’s gathering spot, or to the overflow locations at the nearby Asbury Theological Seminary’s Estes Chapel or McKenna Chapel.

Psalms 51:10  Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

The revival is spreading beyond Asbury to students at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, and at least 24 other universities are sending busloads of students to Asbury to see and participate in what God is doing there.

Psalms 80:19  Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.

The Asbury Collegian has been contacted by people as far away as Brazil and Italy about the revival.

Asbury, with its approximately 1,600 students, is located about 16 miles southwest of Lexington, Kentucky, which is home to the University of Kentucky and its more than 30,000 undergraduates and graduate students, many of whom have been making the short trip to Asbury to join in the worship and prayer.

Psalms 85:6 Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?

There have been many who have repented. Asbury has been the scene of several revivals in its 132-year history, perhaps the most famous of which occurred in 1970 when students spent 144 hours in worship, prayer, and repentance following a chapel service.

On August 1800, Barton W. Stone started a meeting with several other Presbyterian ministers and Baptist and Methodist preachers. A large number of people, a crowd estimated at ten to twenty-five thousand, attended an extraordinary number, given that nearby Lexington, then Kentucky’s largest city, had a population of two thousand.

Under the influence of the Holy Spirit and preaching, the event produced many conversions, as well as physical signs of many people slain in the spirit. The milling crowds of hardened frontier farmers repented by crying out loud.

Revivals occurred in other parts of Kentucky in the summer and early fall of 1801, and their example led to revivals in neighboring states over the next few years. Cane Ridge remained the biggest.

The Revival, currently taking place at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky, is being compared to the culture-changing revival at the same college in 1970, but there’s something different this time.

Social media has drawn a worldwide audience to the Asbury Revival to witness what is happening through live feeds plus firsthand accounts, photographs, and videos, with many of these posts going viral.

People even travel thousands of miles to the Kentucky campus to participate in the revival after seeing viral videos on social media.  “It has absolutely been social media that is the mechanism that people found out about this,” said Asbury University’s vice president of communications.

What’s happening at Asbury is being called a move of God, the real deal, for multiple reasons. There’s no high-profile leader who, most of the time, Quench the Spirit of God by getting in the way of God

1 Thessalonians 5:19  Quench not the Spirit.

Nothing glitzy or worldly like projection screens or fancy lighting. Just persistent prayer, heartfelt worship, an open altar call, and people hungry for God.

Many people are asking if this is a revival. Sure, it’s a revival, and if you don’t understand this, you need to go there and be revived.

The gathering has all the right attributes to be called a Revival. Reading of Scriptures, praying, testimony, repentance, salvation, and spreading to other places as the Spirit sees fit. It has already spread to more than 24 universities.

Hashtagged with the words “Asbury Revival,” it draws millions of views. There are more than 1,000 videos currently circulating on the site. On TikTok, the same hashtag had more than 24.4 million views as of Wednesday.

Social media has spread the happening of this Revival of the Holy Spirit around the world to people who hunger in the hearts and minds of God.

No big lights or big media, Fox TV was going to come down and tape the meeting Friday, and the leaders of Ashbury asked them not to. Besides the regular three hours of weekly live-streaming from the chapel, all of the videos seen online have some from people participating in the service.

Classes have continued at the school, but the University President said that the faculty is “being very flexible and understanding if students would rather be at the chapel than in class.”

A contributing writer to The Christian Post tweeted: “The atmosphere thus far seems sincere with many praying outside in the chapel lawn with all sanctuaries on campus full.” This is a ‘fresh wind of revival’ for America and the world. Let us not miss our chance to be renewed to our first love with Jesus!”

This Revival will go on if the devil deceives no leader at the university and quenches the Spirit.

The Israel Antiquities Authority, the Israel National Parks Authority, and the City of David Foundation announced days before the new year that the Pool of Siloam, a biblical site cherished by Christians and Jews, will be open to the public for the first time in 2,000 years in the near future.

Built some 2,700 years ago, it was initially a holy site for ancient Jewish pilgrims. The New Testament says it is where Jesus performed the miracle of healing a blind man.

John 9:1  And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. 

John 9:2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

John 9:3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

John 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

The public has been unable to visit most religiously significant sites for approximately 2,000 years.

The pool was destroyed and covered after the First Jewish-Roman War 70 years after the birth of Christ. in the coming months, an excavation will completely expose the ancient pool, allowing visitors to view it as part of a tourist route.

The Pool of Siloam is situated in the southern portion of the City of David and within the Jerusalem Walls National Park area. The Pool of Siloam passed through many stages of construction and reached the size of 1¼ acres.

Religious pilgrims used it as a “mikveh,” or a ritual bath, to cleanse themselves before visiting the holy Temple.

Christians have an outward ritual called baptism, a complete immersion in water by a pastor or someone saved. The word baptize in Greek means to immerse, submerge, not sprinkle. The sprinkling of water is not the right way to baptize but is a false way not in the bible.

If a sprinkling of water has baptized you, you can go to a church that baptized its congregation by immersion and try to find a more scriptural teaching church.

At least one-third of Earth’s Trees are facing Extinction. Scientists say that Earth’s trees are facing an unprecedented extinction, and humanity should be worried.

The state of our world’s trees has been an ongoing issue for decades. But, that issue seems to be getting worse, and now we’re facing a massive extinction-level issue that could threaten entire ecosystems.

The research is backed by 45 additional scientists from over 20 different countries and outlines the many impacts that losing any of these tree species could have on the world. It isn’t just the local ecosystems that would be affected by these losses, either.

The researchers say these losses will affect our livelihoods, economies, and food. Scientists say that half of the world’s plants and animals rely on trees for their habitats.

It’s chilling to think of just how much the extinction of certain species of trees could throw our world into disarray.

Not only do these important plans play a vital role in the ecosystems of animals, providing food and habitats, but they also play a vital role in our planet’s cycling of water, carbon, and other nutrients.

There is a mass extinction of trees, mass extinction of 500 species of land animals, mass extinction of 1500 bird species, mass extinction of wild animals, mass extinction of ocean animals, mass extinction of bees, mass extinction of insects, and mass extinction of the coral reef.

As one of Antarctica’s fastest-melting glaciers, Thwaites has earned the nickname “Doomsday.“

Since the 1980s, Thwaites has lost an estimated 595 billion tons of ice, contributing to a 4% rise in global sea levels. Thwaites and its northern neighbor, the Pine Island Glacier, cover enormous expanses;

Thwaites has a surface area of about 74,130 square miles “making it nearly as big as Great Britain” and Pine Island has 62,660 square miles in nearly all cases, they’re melting at an alarming rate due to climate change.

The finding comes from a study of prehistoric sea deposits found on the shores surrounding the “doomsday” Thwaites Glacier and the neighboring Pine Island Glacier, both located on the West Antarctic Ice Sheet.

Concern from scientists about the ice sheet’s future and the possibility of catastrophic sea-level rise caused by the frozen continent’s melting ice.

“These currently elevated rates of ice melting may signal that those vital arteries from the heart of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet have been ruptured, leading to accelerating flow into the ocean that is potentially disastrous for future global sea level in a warming world,” co-author Dylan Rood, an Earth scientist at Imperial College London, said in a statement.

If the entirety of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet were to break up and melt into the sea, it would elevate global sea levels by approximately 11 feet.

The revival started on February 8th in a small town of around 6,000 people at the Ashbury university in Kentucky.

Zach Meerkreebs, with the Christian and Missionary Alliance organization Envision, was the featured speaker that morning and spoke on the importance of knowing God’s love. He cited 1 John 4 “We love because he first loved us.”

1 John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

“Some of us need to sit in the love of God. Some of us need to taste and see and experience the power of the Holy Spirit,” Meerkreebs said. “They need a bunch of Christians experiencing the love of God so they can pour out the love of God.”

“Not through their own efforts and not through their own knowledge but because they’re filled with his love,” Meerkreebs said. “So become the love of God by experiencing the love of God.” He concluded, “Jesus, do a new thing in our midst. Revive us by your love.”

Around 18 students, moved by the Holy Spirit, lingered. More students came daily, praying and singing around the clock, taking shifts between classes and mealtimes, and even at bedtime to the point the chapel never emptied.

Soon, reports of similar around-the-clock prayer sessions were popping up at other college campuses. God has used Social media and the young generation, where reports first hit Tik Tok, Twitter, and Facebook.

With all the craziness and evil going on for the last two years with Covid and the lockdowns and political turmoil, people are looking for answers to the world’s problems.  The hashtag #asburyrevival has 77.9 million views on TikTok as of  Feb 20, 2023.

The superintendent of the Kentucky District Church of the Nazarene, a network of over 100 congregations across the Bluegrass State, tweeted: “Joy, purity, unity, passion are few words that come to mind in describing the Asbury Revival.”

“The Holy Spirit is resting in this place in a special way. Call it revival. Call it what you will. All I know is that we need more of it.” He said.

Pray for the young people experiencing this revival and the people worldwide experiencing the fire of the Holy Spirit. Pray others will come to the knowledge of the Truth.

Warming waters are cooking creatures in their own habitats. Many species are slowly suffocating as oxygen leaches out of the seas.

Rising ocean temperatures are shifting the boundaries of marine creatures’ comfort zones. Many are fleeing northward in search of cooler waters, causing the local disappearance of once-common species.

Polar creatures that can survive only in the most frigid conditions may soon find themselves with nowhere to go.

Species that can’t easily move in search of new habitats, such as fish that depend on specific coastal wetlands or geologic formations on the sea floor, will be more likely to die out.

The danger of warming is compounded by the fact that hotter waters lose dissolved oxygen even though higher temperatures speed up the metabolisms of many marine organisms so that they need more oxygen to live.

According to noted Canadian energy researcher Vaclav Smil, two-fifths of humanity’s more than three billion people are alive because of nitrogen fertilizer, the main ingredient in the Green Revolution that supercharged the agricultural sector in the 1960s.

Fertilizer tripled global grain production enabling the greatest human population growth the planet has ever seen. Now, it is in short supply, and farmers, fertilizer companies, and governments around the globe are scrambling to avert a seemingly inevitable tumble in crop yields.

Russia typically exports nearly 20 percent of the world’s nitrogen fertilizers and, combined with its sanctioned neighbor Belarus, 40 percent of the world’s exported potassium, according to analysts a Rabobank.

Most of that is now off-limits to the world’s farmers, thanks to Western sanctions and Russia’s recent fertilizer export restrictions. For farmers in North America, the main talk is fertilizers, specifically the price and availability of fertilizers.

“Prices are more or less 78 percent higher than average in 2021, and this is cracking up the production side of agriculture. In many regions, farmers simply can’t afford to bring fertilizers to the farm, or even if they could, the fertilizers are not available to them.

And it’s not just fertilizers, but agrichemicals and fuel as well.“Fertilizer is just the tip of the spear of the problems farmers are facing,” Moyer executive director of the Rodale Institute in Emmaus, Pennsylvania said.

“Look at Kansas and Nebraska. Both states are on fire this year and this is supposed to be their wet season. With weather patterns changing and energy costs going up and not coming down, we need to revolutionize our production models to minimize these impacts.”

Half the countries in Africa depend on imported wheat from Russia and Ukraine, with 14 African countries getting more than half their wheat from the two warring nations.

A multitude of effects from hot weather piled onto Europe in 2022, with record-shattering heat, historical droughts, and massive wildfires wreaking havoc across the continent.

Much of Europe has been in the grip of a powerful drought, the worst in 500 years, that has wreaked havoc on natural ecosystems, crops, and many sectors of the economy.

Water use has been severely limited in many countries, with drinking water having to be trucked into more than 100 towns in France.

Many European rivers are hitting record low water levels, with major implications on crop and power production, and fluvial shipping.

High river temperatures have forced power plants to lower production and also lowered oxygen levels, threatening fish populations.

Stored water volumes in reservoirs are particularly low in Portugal, Spain, France, and Italy, limiting hydropower production.

Falling river levels have also led to saltwater intrusion near the coasts that further threaten agricultural production.

As of August 27, 740,000 hectares had been lost to the flames across the European Union, about three times the average for this time of year.

Spain, Portugal, Romania, and France have been particularly hard hit.

Britain on Monday braced for what could become its hottest day on record, as French authorities warned of a “heat apocalypse”. Emergency services across Europe confront spreading wildfires and rising death tolls.

British authorities have declared a national emergency and for the first time issued a “red extreme” heat warning.  Forecasters predicted that a number of heat records could be toppled Monday, with Britain expecting temperatures of up to 106 degrees.

Across Europe, the human toll of the continent’s most recent heat wave was becoming increasingly visible Monday.

Thousands more people were expected to be evacuated amid rapidly spreading wildfires in Spain, France, and Portugal.

In France and Spain, firefighting services and hospitals were strained. France announced it would deploy hundreds of additional firefighters to the most severely hit regions, including the popular beaches and vacation spots on the country’s west coast.

Spain said in many places, the available firefighting planes were already working at capacity.  Spain says that over 350 people died as a result of heat in the country last week far above the weekly average of about 60 deaths.

Over 800 heat-linked deaths were reported in June, when similarly scorching temperatures hit the country and other parts of Europe, with temperatures reaching between 104 and 110 degrees.

Britain isn’t designed for extreme heat. Very few homes have air conditioning and instead, houses have traditionally been built to retain heat.

Maintenance crews were spreading sand on the highways to keep the roads from melting.

Transit officials advised passengers to stay away and ordered trains to slow down as maintenance crews were on the lookout for steel tracks bending and buckling in the heat.

In France, national railway operator SNCF similarly urged travelers to carry water bottles and to be prepared for delays.

After a heat wave killed an estimated 15,000 people in France in 2003, French nursing homes developed emergency plans. Many of them are now equipped with air-conditioned rooms, additional ventilation, or sprinklers that cool down building facades.

In Paris, city authorities encourage residents and tourists to use a dedicated website to find over 900 “islands of coolness,” which include city parks, cemeteries, swimming pools, and museums.

In the US, buyers lining the sidewalks outside of frenzied open houses this spring; the Pandemic Housing Boom was already in its final inning. The red-hot housing market is quickly shifting in the face of spiked mortgage rates, which had jumped from 3.2% in January to over 4% by late March.

The bad news for mortgage brokers and builders? This housing correction is far from over.

The shock hitting the U.S. housing market continues to grow: On Monday, The average 30-year fixed mortgage rate jumped to 6.7.

That marks both the highest mortgage rate since 2002 and the biggest 12-month jump since 1981.

Higher mortgage rates lead to some borrowers who must meet lenders’ strict debt-to-ratios losing their mortgage eligibility.

It also prices some buyers out of the market altogether. As buyers pull back, the housing correction will cause inventory levels to rise and home sales volumes to fall.

Buyers are dropping out of the market, with the number of pending transactions down by 24 percent since this time last year, according to the National Association of Realtors.

Renters may not like the fact that the median rent is up by 20 percent in two years, according to Redfin, but they probably aren’t likely to go house shopping, either.

Both because they can’t afford it, and because confidence in the housing market confidence that you’re making a good investment is at just 46 percent, according to Freddie Mac, down 20 points from last spring.

As the United States emerged from the pandemic, housing started surging, and it looked like we might start to make up the deficit. Not anymore. Homebuilders are holding off; building permits issued in August fell by 14 percent from a year earlier.

High-interest rates make it expensive for developers to borrow money for big projects, and also reduce the price point they can expect to sell for. To make matters worse, an immigration slowdown has made it hard to find people to build houses. Foreign-born workers make up 30 percent of the country’s construction workforce.

This week, Israelis and Jews worldwide celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles, or “Sukkot” in Hebrew. Thousands of Christians have come up to Jerusalem to join the gathering of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem.

After two years of limited tourism to Israel because of the COVID pandemic, over 2,000 Christian pilgrims from more than 70 nations participated in the Feast of Tabernacles.

This year “Sukkot,” or  Feast of Tabernacles, begins at sundown Sunday, October 9th, and continues through sundown Sunday, October 16th, 2022. Sukkot is called the “Festival of Ingathering at the year’s end.”

Exodus 34:22 And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year’s end.

Leviticus 23:42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:

Leviticus 23:43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

Throughout the holiday, families host festive meals and gatherings with friends within the sukkot, often adorned with decorations, including lights.

Many observant Jews both eat and sleep inside the booths overnight. The hut-like structures are meant to evoke the temporary refuges lived in by the Israelites during their 40-year sojourn in the desert after their Exodus from slavery in Egypt before reaching freedom in the Land of Israel.

The Feast of Tabernacles is a fall harvest feast on the biblical calendar. Sukkot is a Torah-commanded holiday celebrated for seven days from the 15th day of the month of Tishrei. It is one of the Three Pilgrimage Festivals on which those Israelites could be commanded pilgrimage to the Temple in Jerusalem.

The Feast of Tabernacles, or Sukkot, is the third great annual pilgrimage festival when the Jewish people gather together in Jerusalem not only to remember God’s provision in the Wilderness but also to look ahead to that promised Messianic age when all nations will flow to Jerusalem to worship the Lord.

The prophet Zechariah spoke of a future time when all the nations would come to Jerusalem to celebrate the holiday of Sukkot.

Zechariah 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

One of the highlights of the Feast of Tabernacles is when Christians from around the world join Israelis for the annual Jerusalem March.

The ICEJ’s Feast will kick off for the first time ever on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, with two nights (Oct. 9-10) of worship concerts at the Capernaum National Park.

The festival then moves to Jerusalem for five days of events, including the “Roll Call of the Nations” at the Jerusalem Pais Arena on Tuesday and the popular Jerusalem March  Thursday afternoon.

The Feast will conclude with 1,000 Christian pilgrims visiting the western Negev for a special solidarity rally and tree-planting ceremony with Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael and leaders of Israeli communities along the Gaza border.

MSNBC’s Mehdi Hasan expressed a similar take on his show this week, where he described the 2022 midterm elections as a choice between the dismantling of democracy or inevitable insurrection.

“If the election deniers on the right win in 2022, in November, next month, to me, democracy looks like it’s over in America,” Hasan said.

MSNBC host Tiffany Cross suggested that a civil war is already taking place in America, telling viewers on Joy Reid’s “The ReidOut” that it’s too late to temper down divisive political rhetoric and threats against the FBI in the days following the Trump raid. “The train has left the station.

There is no dealing with the rhetoric. At this point, we need to have serious conversations about preparing for actual violence. People keep saying a civil war is coming. I would say a civil war is here. And I don’t mean to be hyperbolic,” she said.

Cross echoed the talking point of Rep. Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., who claimed on her show that the GOP gaining power in the midterm elections would “embolden” violent right-wing extremists who want a “civil war” to take over the levers of U.S. power.

President of the Council on Foreign Relations Richard Haass told Scarborough in August that the country is battling a dangerous period that resembles the 19th century in the run-up to the Civil War, which began in 1861.

Disney suffered one of its worst theatrical releases ever with its latest animated movie Strange World, which brought in just $18.6 million over the five-day holiday weekend despite being heralded as the first Disney movie to include an openly gay main character.

Expectations were initially high for Strange World, with Disney projecting the film to earn between $30 and 40 million dollars over the long weekend.

However, those figures were rapidly and significantly revised downwards when it was understood how poorly the movie was performing with audiences.

Disney has another flop on its hands, as the animated adventure Strange World proves a flop at the box office, and moviegoers criticize it for what they see as forcing progressive ideology in a children’s movie.

Many have used the box office numbers to cite this as an example of Disney’s attempt to “go woke, get broke.”

As with other recent Disney animated movies, including Lightyear, another box office flop, Strange World sought to crowbar progressive causes into the film, including, for the first time in Disney’s history, an openly gay main character.

Disney’s latest flop comes on the heels of the return of its iconic former CEO, Bob Iger, who is expected to turn around the ailing company after suffering several financial setbacks.

Disney+, the company’s touted streaming service, has lost more than $8 billion since it launched three years ago.

A seriously low U.S. and global diesel supply will likely drive up fuel costs and worsen inflation, raising concerns as the cold weather months approach.

Diesel prices have increased 33% for November deliveries and are expected to go higher. “The national average price for diesel today is $5.30 per gallon and is expected to go up 15 to 20 cents in the next few weeks,” said Andy Lipow, president of Lipow Oil Associates, LLC. Diesel supply in the Northeast.

The drought-stricken Mississippi River and a potential rail strike are contributing to higher fuel demand with calls for federal government intervention to increase supply. Diesel reserves have not been this low since 1951.

The country has about 25 days’ worth of diesel left, a level that’s considered very low. De Haan said that normally, the country’s supply is closer to the “low to mid-30s” in terms of the number of days remaining.

Gasoline and diesel are products made from oil, and oil prices soared after Russia invaded Ukraine.

“This is not only constricting the ability of farmers to export the soybeans and grain they grow but also to receive the fuel and fertilizer they need to operate,” said Mike Steenhoek, executive director of the Soy Transportation Coalition of the low water that has turned the Mississippi River from a multi-lane interstate to a two-lane highway.

“The rising costs of diesel fuel, therefore, impact everybody, as diesel prices affect direct manufacturing, transportation, and heating costs. As diesel prices rise, so do the costs of goods which are generally passed onto consumers,” said Suzanne Danforth, an analyst with Wood Mackenzie.

“Higher diesel prices have the potential to create even stronger inflationary pressures, especially if the current price spike is sustained, adding significant downside risk to demand and increasing the chances of a global recession,” she said.

Illinois is passing a law that some would make history. Illinois is looking to be the first state in the United States to abolish cash bail. And the consequences of passing such a law have many believing the state could mirror the horror movie the purge.

In the film, citizens were given 24 hours to commit all the crimes they wanted. On January 1st of 2023, the ‘SAFE-T’ Act will commence in the state of Illinois.

This act will get rid of the cash bail system in its entirety. The name SAFE-T is an acronym for ‘Safety, Accountability, Fairness, and Equity Today.

There are 12 non-detainable offenses where the new law would end cash bail. The law includes second-degree murder, arson, drug-induced homicide, robbery, kidnapping, aggravated battery, burglary, intimidation, aggravated driving under the influence, fleeing and eluding, drug offenses, and threatening a public official.

The Safe-T Act would allow criminals a pre-trial release for the crimes listed above. And if prosecutors fail to show “clear and convincing evidence” that the allegations could be a threat to a specific individual.

The reason for the Safe-T Act law is the Center For American Progress say the cash bail system in most jurisdictions across the US is “criminalizing poverty.”

Most in detention can’t afford the bail and spend weeks to even months awaiting trial. This system mostly affects communities of color who already have the odds stacked against them across the country.

Progressive and liberal sites are against the truth of the word of God.  They call evil good and good evil.

Factories in China’s southwest have shut down, and a city imposed rolling blackouts after reservoirs to generate hydropower ran low in a worsening drought, adding to economic strains at a time when President Xi Jinping is trying to extend his hold on power.

Companies in Sichuan province, including makers of solar panels, cement, and urea, closed or reduced production after they were ordered to ration power for up to five days, according to news reports Wednesday.

That came after reservoir levels fell and power demand for air conditioning surged in scorching temperatures.

In Sichuan, which has 94 million people, water levels at hydropower reservoirs are down by as much as half this month, according to the Sichuan Provincial Department of Economics and Information Technology.

Hundreds of thousands of hectares (acres) of crops across central and northern China wilted due to lack of water and high temperatures, according to the government.

Some areas reported the summer growing season as a failure. “Some small- and medium-size rivers are so dry that they have stopped flowing,” the report said.

Meanwhile, authorities warned some parts of the country face possible flooding from heavy rains forecast in areas from the northwest across Inner Mongolia to the northeast.

Low rainfall and record-breaking heat across much of China have widespread impacts on people, industry, and farming. River and reservoir levels have fallen, factories have shut down because of electricity shortages, and huge areas of crops have been damaged.

The situation could have worldwide repercussions, causing further disruption to supply chains and exacerbating the global food crisis. People in large parts of China have been experiencing two months of extreme heat.

Hundreds of places have reported temperatures of more than 40°C (104°F), and many records have been broken.

On 18 August, the temperature in Chongqing in Sichuan province was 113°F, the highest ever recorded in China outside the desert-dominated region of Xinjiang.

It is the longest and hottest heatwave in China since national records began in 1961. According to weather historian Maximiliano Herrera, who monitors extreme temperatures around the world, it is the most severe heatwave recorded anywhere.

Hydroelectricity generation has fallen because of the low water levels. Sichuan has been especially affected because it normally gets 80 percent of its electricity from hydropower.

Thousands of factories in the province have had to cease operations because of electricity shortages amid high demand for air conditioning. Offices and shopping malls were also told to reduce lighting and air conditioning to save power.

“The rapid development of drought superimposed with high temperatures and heat damage has caused a severe threat to autumn crop production,” a statement said Tuesday.

Four government departments urged conserving “every unit of water” to protect crops.

China produces more than 95 percent of the rice, wheat and maize it consumes, but a reduced harvest could mean increased demand for imports in the world’s most populous country.

In Sichuan alone,47,000 hectares of crop are reported to have been lost, and another 433,000 hectares damaged.

Lower crop yields in these regions could worsen the global food crisis. China is far from the only place affected by drought.

Europe is having what may be its worst drought in 500 years. There is also a drought in the Horn of Africa and across much of the US and Mexico.

I‘m sure you have noticed that everyone seems to be looking for workers. Large bonuses are even being offered to new employers. 2022 is as bad as 2021 for companies not having enough workers.

From restaurants to department stores to delivery companies, employers are shutting down because of not enough workers quitting simultaneously.

A whopping 4 million people, about 2.9 percent of the nation’s workforce, quit their jobs in April 2021, and the same amount every month thereafter in 2021.

Just in the food industry, there are 1.2 million jobs unfilled right when customers are coming through the doors, ready to eat, drink, and finally socialize.

There are many reasons why people have quit their jobs, but one of the main reasons is the lockdown from covid.

A total of 48 million people quit their jobs in 2021. In the last half of 2021, 25.6 million people “quit” their jobs–quits are generally voluntary separations initiated by an employee.

As of March 2022, 8.6 million people quit their jobs this year.

The best food to stock up on is foods that are not going to spoil. Canned goods and package goods that you can eat. You need just to add can food to your grocery list but “don’t panic buy”, just add each week and store up on foods you like that have a long expiring date.

People need water to survive about 8 cups of water 67 oz a day.  And if the power goes out, if you can afford it invest in a generator.

In the U.S., Americans have seen food costs rise 10 percent over last year, the steepest increase in 40 years, which experts say will lead to an increase in malnutrition among America’s poor.

Experts are warning that the world faces a historic famine. The war in Ukraine is only one of many problems plaguing the global distribution of food. Globally more than 276 million people experience extreme food insecurity pushing closer and closer to famine.

“Places like Somalia, for example, 90% of their wheat exports come from Russia and Ukraine, In Egypt, 80% of their wheat exports come from Russia and Ukraine.

In China, severe flooding late last year wrecked the Wheat harvest and has the communist government trying to buy up as much of the world supply as possible.

And now a growing list of nations, including Argentina, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Hungary, and Serbia, have banned agricultural exports to other nations. A perfect storm of several problems is decimating the world food supply.

It’s been called the biggest food crisis since World War Two. The World Food Program estimates that 285 million people face starvation.

Fertilizer prices were 40 percent higher than before the invasion of Ukraine, which, along with high fuel prices, makes it too expensive for some farmers to plant crops this year.

In Afghanistan, 98 percent of the population does not have enough food to eat.

One million children under the age of five could die from malnutrition by the end of this year. In Yemen, eight million people are in dire need of food.

A 23-year drought has been drying up the Colorado River, and the effects of climate change, both in terms of extreme heat and low precipitation, are making that more severe. Arizona, Nevada and Mexico have been asked to make cuts starting in January.

Arizona water officials balked at being asked to shoulder what they saw as an unfair portion of the burden.

Starting in January, Arizona will have to reduce its water usage by 592,000 acre-feet, 21% of the water the state uses.

Nevada will have to reduce its use by 25,000 acre-feet, which is 8% of the state’s water use.

And Mexico will have to reduce its annual appointment by 7%.

German industry at risk as Rhine level falls; Drought in Europe.

Germany’s main industry lobby group warned Tuesday that factories might have to throttle production or halt it completely because plunging water levels on the Rhine River are making it harder to transport cargo.

Authorities say the shipping lane still has a depth of almost six feet, six inches, but the record low measurement Tuesday morning highlights the extreme lack of water.

Shifting cargo from the river to train or transport was difficult because of limited rail capacity and a lack of drivers.

High food prices are causing anger among citizens as they protest and express their rage at the government and religious leaders.

Iranians are not only angry at the government but the harsh teachings and strict religious rules the Islamic regime enforces on the public.

Many are fed up with Islam and the brutal regime of Iran according to a manager with a Christian ministry in Iran that counsels and prays with Iranians by phone and social media.

That’s opening the door for many to hear and explore the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube carry the message of Christ over the internet, where people engage with Christian counselors through online chats, posts, and message boards.

“So many, many are calling us and wanting a new God, wanting to look to Jesus the new hope. Where else can they go if their religion is disappointing them?” the manager Baghestani said.

Christians are persecuted in Iran. House churches are raided and believers face harsh prison sentences for preaching the Gospel, which is seen as an enemy of Islam.

Despite the danger, people are coming to Christ and the church is growing.

The Middle East, home to 6.3 percent of the world’s population and containing only 1.4 percent of the world’s renewable freshwater, is experiencing an increasing water scarcity crisis.

Water scarcity is now unprecedented as is its impact on children, the poor, and the most vulnerable communities.

The Climate that has changed at the end of the world, is having a significant impact on the already fragile situation, resulting in less rain for agriculture and the deterioration of the quality of freshwater reserves due to saltwater intrusion and pollution.

Water requirements for food production are enormous. Growing one kilogram of wheat requires 1,250 liters of water.  Feeding a single cow to produce one kilogram of beef requires 15,000 liters of water.

Population growth and its associated increase in food and energy demand are contributing to a surge in water demand. When water becomes so scarce that livelihoods are no longer viable, families migrate to urban areas, adding an additional burden onto already underserved communities.

A report by the Carnegie Endowment in February 2022 showed that water scarcity is now threatening to trigger violent conflict in the Middle East and North Africa, as MENA is projected to be the first region in the world to “effectively run out of water.”

The region’s inhabitants, are currently on track to experience water insecurity by 2025.

Nearly 9 out of 10 children in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) live in areas of high or extremely high-water stress with serious consequences on their health, nutrition, cognitive development, and future livelihoods.

Nearly 66 million people in the region lack basic sanitation and very low proportions of wastewater are adequately treated according to a new UNICEF report.

Receiving less rain for agriculture and the deterioration of the quality of freshwater reserves due to the movement of saline water into freshwater aquifers and increased pollution concentrations.

“In many countries of the region, children are increasingly having to walk long distances just to fetch water instead of spending that time at school or with their friends playing and learning,” said Chris Cormency, UNICEF.

International analysts have warned that Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, and the UAE will compete to get the atomic bomb.

The Saudis already have agreements with the Pakistanis. They funded the Pakistani nuclear project and they are ready to procure a nuclear weapon.

“The moment this agreement is signed and they understand that Iran is moving towards nuclear capabilities what we will see is the proliferation of nuclear capabilities all over the Middle East,” said Amir Avivi of Israel’s Defense and Security Forum.

“This is not talking about a threat in the Middle East. This is a whole new globe. It’s a whole new world. It’s a threat to humanity.”

“And that’s why I cannot understand why the European Union and this current US government are pushing towards enabling this vicious regime who calls America the” Big Satan” and calls Israel, the “Little Satan”, let them have nuclear capabilities,” said Amir Avivi.

The nuclear agreement also promises sanctions relief that would release nearly $100 billion to the Iranian regime in exchange for strict limits on Iran’s nuclear activity.

Avivi and others believe the money would not only fund Iranian partners in the region like Hezbollah, but it could also reach allies closer to the US like Venezuela.

Bears, boars, monkeys and even dolphins are becoming bolder and more aggressive as climate change impacts their habitats and forces them into confrontations with humans.

Dramatic changes in the landscape of rural Japan have caused significant changes in the behavior of the nation’s wild animals, leading to more frequent and more violent clashes with humans.

Bear attacks have typically accounted for the majority of the attacks on humans, along with occasional rampages by boars, but there has been a sharp increase in reports of attacks by monkeys this summer, while authorities in one coastal city have warned of dolphins becoming aggressive towards swimmers.

In the six months to November 2020, a record 13,670 bears were sighted across Japan, with no fewer than 63 people mauled in attacks, two of whom died of their injuries.

In southern Japan, residents of the tiny island of Kakara are considering evacuating as wild boars have largely taken over, destroying their crops of pumpkins and sweet potatoes and becoming increasingly aggressive and territorial.

The situation has become so bad that parents no longer allow their children to play outdoors for fear they will be attacked.

This summer, Japanese media has devoted extensive coverage to a number of clashes between troupes of monkeys and local people.

In some of the cases, the rogue simians have entered people’s homes by opening windows or breaking a mosquito screen and bitten or scratched residents.

Local authorities in Yamaguchi Prefecture, in southern Japan, reported 66 incidents in July alone and issued advice to local residents to not make eye contact with a monkey as it could be perceived as a challenge and precipitate an attack.

“There seem to be several factors contributing to the increase in these cases, but I think one of the biggest particularly this year  is the effect of climate change, said Mariko Abe, of The Nature Conservation Society of Japan.

For the last decade or so, the rainy season that used to reliably last for around a month from mid-June has become shorter and delivered less rain,” she said, adding: “And this year it has been extreme.”

The result is that the food sources in the mountains and forests have not produced sufficient quantities for the monkey population, meaning they have had to go looking for food.

And that has brought them into areas of human habitation. Another factor is that suburbs are constantly edging further into animals’ habitats, she added.

“With villages losing all their young people and gradually shrinking, there are fewer people to stop the wildlife from taking over.”

“I also feel that means animals are often no longer frightened of humans,” said Kevin Short, a professor who specializes in environmental education at the Tokyo University of Information Sciences.

Britain on Monday braced for what could become its hottest day on record, as French authorities warned of a “heat apocalypse”. Emergency services across Europe confront spreading wildfires and rising death tolls.

British authorities have declared a national emergency and for the first time issued a “red extreme” heat warning.  Forecasters predicted that a number of heat records could be toppled Monday, with Britain expecting temperatures of up to 106 degrees.

Across Europe, the human toll of the continent’s most recent heat wave was becoming increasingly visible Monday.

Thousands more people were expected to be evacuated amid rapidly spreading wildfires in Spain, France, and Portugal.

In France and Spain, firefighting services and hospitals were strained. France announced it would deploy hundreds of additional firefighters to the most severely hit regions, including the popular beaches and vacation spots on the country’s west coast.

Spain said in many places, the available firefighting planes were already working at capacity.  Spain says that over 350 people died as a result of heat in the country last week far above the weekly average of about 60 deaths.

Over 800 heat-linked deaths were reported in June, when similarly scorching temperatures hit the country and other parts of Europe, with temperatures reaching between 104 and 110 degrees.

Britain isn’t designed for extreme heat. Very few homes have air conditioning and instead, houses have traditionally been built to retain heat.

Maintenance crews were spreading sand on the highways to keep the roads from melting.

Transit officials advised passengers to stay away and ordered trains to slow down as maintenance crews were on the lookout for steel tracks bending and buckling in the heat.

In France, national railway operator SNCF similarly urged travelers to carry water bottles and to be prepared for delays.

After a heat wave killed an estimated 15,000 people in France in 2003, French nursing homes developed emergency plans. Many of them are now equipped with air-conditioned rooms, additional ventilation, or sprinklers that cool down building facades.

In Paris, city authorities encourage residents and tourists to use a dedicated website to find over 900 “islands of coolness,” which include city parks, cemeteries, swimming pools, and museums.

The Chinese Communist Party’s new law dubbed the “Measures for the Administration of Internet Religious Information Services”  prohibits individuals and organizations from posting religious information on the internet unless they have first obtained permission from a provincial government department, according to china aid which monitors religious freedom within the country.

Using the messaging app WeChat, a church member tried posting the names of eight books for members of a reading group.

But the WeChat app rejected the post, saying the word “Christ” was not allowed. “The word ‘Christ’ you are trying to publish violates regulations on Internet Information Services, including but not limited to the following categories: pornography, gambling, and drug abuse; excessive marketing; incitement.”

“Unfortunately, the group administrator had to replace part of the word “Christ” to pass censorship,” China Aid said.

“Anyone who posts content with the purpose of ‘inciting the state power using religion, objecting to the Chinese Communist Party’s leadership, obstructing the socialism system, damaging national reunification, or harming the unity of various ethnic groups and social stability shall be punished,” China Aid reported.

On Sunday, a progressive church in Texas referred to God as female throughout its mother’s day service. “You’re a Good, Good Mother,” the worship team at Austin New Church in Austin, Texas, sang.

The worship team also changed the lyrics in the song “Wonderful Maker” by singing that God has “the heart of a mother.”Leaders at Austin New Church also delivered messages in which they described God as female.

When reciting Psalms 23 and the Lord’s Prayer, leaders also used female pronouns for God.“We profess that we all bear the image of God, but how can we see God in ourselves if we don’t see ourselves in God?

If God is only male, if God is only white, what possibilities does that limit for those of us whose identity markers are different?” asked Creative Pastor Samantha Beach Kiley during her message.

Citing quotes from a book “God Is a Black Woman,” Kiley argued that a “narrow” view of God is restrictive to the imagination.

At the same time, however, she admitted that addressing the topic is challenging and full of “landmines,” and noted that by addressing God with female pronouns and characteristics, we run the risk of “just setting up another binary.”

Not full of landmines,  but full of lies.

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Shortly after, Kiley’s mother, Nancy Beach, shared some Scriptures that described God and Jesus with feminine and motherly imagery.

Lead Pastor Jason Morris asserted “One of the least attractive characteristics of progressive people is that when they learn a new thing, they act all super-woke,” he said, noting that “Great faith systems around the globe have always understood this,” as well as “all the great mystics of all time.”

All other faiths around the world are not of the real god, and only have doctrines of devils.

Christian Faith based on the Bible is the only true serving of God.

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devil.

Jesus who was a man is the only way to the father, God.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Austin New Church is described as a progressive community “based on belonging, not beliefs.” The congregation is also affiliated with the United Methodist Church.

That should tell anyone that this is a meeting place for people who are not interested in the truth.

Belief is what the real God of the Bible is based on.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

Starting June 1 through June 5  hundreds of intercessors from South Korea will be in 20 cities throughout America to pray for revival. “They’ll come to cities from coast to coast and border to border to pray morning noon and night,” said P. Douglas Small, President of Project Pray.

Small is encouraging churches across the country to open their doors for prayer during that time, which will reach a climax on Pentecost Sunday, June 5.

“We’re asking churches to open their doors and call for prayer. To host prayer meetings, not preaching meetings, prayer meetings to pray for this nation, for revival, and spiritual awakening,” said P. Douglas Small.

The intercessors are visiting on the 49th anniversary of Billy Graham’s 1973 crusade in Seoul, Korea. The historic event ran from May 30-June 3 and drew more than 3 million people, with approximately 75,000 of them committing their lives to Christ.

“After the crusade, the prayer revival broke out in many different churches in South Korea. Even revival broke out and churches started to grow,” said Aaron Park.

Korean Christians say it changed the direction of the nation.

Now, the grandchildren of that revival are returning to give America a spiritual boost.

It’s obvious that America needs prayer because its churches have fallen away from the truth. Falling away from the truth has happened across the world not just in America which is a sign that Jesus is returning to earth to receive His church and destroy the evil ones.

2 Thessalonians  2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

Russia is using food as a weapon, partly by blocking Ukrainian ports, a US official said. Experts warn that cyberattacks on Ukraine’s farming technology could worsen supply woes.

“The food supply for millions of Ukrainians and millions more around the world has quite literally been held hostage by the Russian military,” a US official said.

Blinken demanded that Russia end its blockade of Ukraine’s ports to ensure that vital food and fertilizer shipments can continue to flow.

A crop shortfall in Oklahoma adds to a dire global wheat supply after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine shut down ports and knocked the No. 5 exporter off the market.

The commission this week projected Oklahoma’s winter wheat crop about half the size of last year’s crop and the smallest since 2014.

About 69% of the U.S. crop was in an area experiencing drought as of May 3, the USDA has said, including most major wheat areas of Oklahoma and top producer Kansas.

Revelations 6 speaks of 1/4 of the world is in war and the price of wheat a measure of wheat for a penny which means a day’s wage.

We don’t know if this applies to the time of Russia and Ukraine’s war but it is something to watch.

Revelations 6:5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

A measure of wheat for a penny is approximately one quart of wheat for one day’s wage for a worker.

As Chinese officials scramble to contain the country’s worst outbreak of Covid-19 since early 2020, they are imposing lock downs and restrictions that are adding chaos to global supply chains.

One-third of global manufacturing is disrupting the production of finished goods like Toyota and Volkswagen cars and Apple’s iPhones, as well as components such as circuit boards and computer cables.

In China, trucks are being delayed by the testing of drivers. Container rates are rising as ships wait for many hours at ports. Products are piling up in warehouses.

Because several of China’s largest industrial cities are now fighting outbreaks, such measures are taking a toll on the factory and transportation networks that are the backbone of China’s manufacturing and the global economy.

China has a zero-tolerance approach to covid outbreaks that calls for lockdowns as well as mass testing and quarantine in government facilities.

Officials in Beijing and an ever-lengthening list of cities and provinces say that the virus is still spreading and that the government must take ever-tougher measures to stop it.

“The business risk in China now is higher than at any time since late spring 2020,” said Julian MacCormac, chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in China.

At least five large factory cities have completely shut down because of the coronavirus. The list of companies announcing production halts because of lockdowns has grown.

Toyota and Volkswagen stopped their assembly plants and other factories in Changchun. A printed circuit board maker, Unimicron Technology, in Shenzhen. Global Lighting Technologies, a light-emitting diode, or LED, maker, in Shanghai.

Already in America “dead” cars are vehicles that have rolled off the assembly line, otherwise ready for sale, sitting in fields or on lots near the factories that produced them, just waiting for chips.

Many models of cars are now being sold without certain chips and dealers are told to tell customers the chips will be replaced within a year.

UN chief Antonio Guterres warned Monday that the world must act to prevent a “hurricane of hunger and a meltdown of the global food system” following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

“Ukraine is on fire” and “the country is being decimated before the eyes of the world”. he told the media in New York.

Even before the war, he said, developing countries were “struggling to recover from the pandemic with record inflation, rising interest rates, and looming debt burdens.”

“Now their breadbasket is being bombed,” Guterres said “This war goes far beyond Ukraine. It is also an assault on the world’s most vulnerable people and countries,” Guterres said.

In total, 45 African countries and least developed countries import at least a third of their wheat from Ukraine or Russia  18 of these countries import at least 50%.

They include Burkina Faso, Egypt, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen.

The pandemic has made the situation even worse, as the breakdown of supply chains has left the World Food Programme and other United Nations agencies struggling.

The commercial airline industry has all but shut down, making it hard to get the supplies and experts out to where they are needed.

Now the war in Ukraine will cause severe malnutrition and even starvation around the world. Many experts on global food security, are saying how heavily the rest of the world relies on Ukraine and Russia for wheat and a slew of other essential commodities.

Over the last four or five years, we’ve actually seen rising percentages, there are currently about 276 million people worldwide in the midst of a hunger crisis with 44 million of them “one step away from famine.

If we cannot assist them they will die. It’s that simple.” WFP’s Husain says.

Around 8 million people die of hunger each year, and most of them are children.

I’m not sure where this site got its numbers for this survey but it says Fifty-seven percent of pastors say porn is the biggest problem in the church.

Sixty-nine percent say their church has been negatively affected by pornography.

I think someone needs to tell these pastors that if they would preach about sin and the consequences of sinning which is the lake of fire, this would not be a problem in their lukewarm churches.
