The Truth About Repentance and Confession of Sin

Hyper-grace is a devil’s lie. The people who believe this evil teaching are just looking for a license to sin. These types are sinners who are worldly and not interested in truth, but go to a church that fits their evil lifestyle.

Hyper-grace teaches that God’s grace covers all past, present, and future sins, so there is no need for a believer to repent and confess their sins.

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sins, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Hyper-grace teaching says that God sees only holy and righteous people when he looks at us. Hyper-grace teaching concludes that we don’t go by Jesus’ teaching, even as we are not under the Law;  believers are not responsible for their sins, and anyone who disagrees is a legalist.

1 Timothy 6:3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

1 Timothy 6:4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

1 Timothy 6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Hyper-grace teachers pervert the grace of our God into a license for a sinful life. Grace means no one is worthy of forgiveness, and we are forgiven because of what Jesus did on the cross.

In Romans 6:1-15, Paul taught that we are dead to sin and don’t let sin reign in our bodies, and that we obey sin and its lusts. Paul says twice that God forbids us to sin. Forbids means not to sin.

Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

Romans 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

1 Peter 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

In the book of Revelation, the churches are told to repent.

Revelations 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Revelations 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore and repent.

Hyper-grace is not scriptural, and only at the end of the world would churches that have fallen from the truth teach that. There are many false teachers in pulpits, on the internet, and on TV.

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2 Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 Peter2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of shall be evil spoken of.

1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

2 Corinthians 11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Hyper-grace doctrine teaches that Jesus’ words before His resurrection are part of the Old Covenant and no longer applicable to born-again believers. These types say they serve Jesus but won’t follow his teachings because it condemn their evil, sinful ways.

These so-called Christians like hyper-grace teachings so they can be worldly and live sinful lives.

1 John 2:15  Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world,

1 John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

They are only Christians by their mouth, but their sinful lifestyles show they are not lovers of God.

Matthew 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Romans 1:32  Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

1 Peter 2:8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

2 Timothy 3:1-8  speaks of these churchgoers who have never changed and are sinners. They are easy to spot because they love themselves.

2 Timothy 3:2  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

They love pleasures.

2 Timothy 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

They only have a form of God and deny godliness.

2 Timothy 3:5  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

They never come to know the truth.

2 Timothy 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

They resist the truth of the scriptures.

2 Timothy 3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

1 John 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work sin.

If you sin, you must repent, meaning a change of mind and heart, and ask for forgiveness. Jesus is our advocate, serving as a mediator between God and us.
