Pursuing Truth in a World of Fake News

We are constantly engaged in a struggle between good and evil, right and wrong, truth and lies. I believe this is a spiritual battle for people’s souls, with real consequences that last for eternity.

Without understanding the spiritual reality behind everything, anyone could feel afraid and hopeless in this world. Without comprehending history’s biblical and prophetic foundations, one may feel afraid and hopeless in a world that seems to have gone mad.

The incomprehensible evil in our world needs to be seen through the eyes of a spiritual perspective, providing a Biblical view that can help others process what we’re all experiencing instead of a worldview that many so-called churches are spreading.

Having a Christian perspective on the world news can lead to a better understanding of what’s going on, instead of the secular or even anti-Christian perspective from most, if not all, news media outlets.

Even so-called Christian news outlets and social media have become corrupt with the world’s view.

This is why studying the Bible is so important: so we can see through God’s lens and not be deceived by the devil.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

We’re tired of the falsehoods, the misinformation, the deceit. Truth is becoming increasingly scarce in the news industry. The media has been focused on politics 24/7 for the past decade.

Even in many so-called Christian sites and so-called churches, lies have become the vocal point of what’s coming from the pulpits.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

The number of individuals obtaining their information solely from sources aligned with their political beliefs is increasing. Additionally, social media platforms lack efficient filters, allowing misinformation to spread unchecked.

The impact of falsehoods and distortions continues to grow, as liberal political action committees fund many fake news sites.

I always go to the word that puts your feet onto the path of righteousness.

Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

Proverbs 3:8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

The truth of the Bible never changes; it’s only people who misinterpret the truth and change the way of truth into a version that fits their evil ways.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 Peter 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

They twist the truth of the Bible to serve their own selfish ends, a practice that speaks evil of the way of truth. The scripture, 2 Peter 2:3, speaks of so-called TV ministries and churches, where the pastors, driven by their desire for wealth, own multiple homes and accumulate millions.

Covetousness means a hunger for more.

2 Peter 2:3  And (through covetousness) shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Christians must stand for the truth and not be deceived by those who spread fake news or twisted truths.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat.

Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Matthew 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work sin.
