Does God Always Answer Prayer? The Truth May Surprise You

If you are familiar with the teachings of the Bible, you might already understand this concept.

God does not hear the prayers of those who are living in sin, except when they are seeking genuine repentance for their wrongdoings. This means that for individuals who are knowingly engaging in sinful behavior, their prayers are not acknowledged by God.

It emphasizes the importance of turning away from sin and seeking forgiveness as essential steps in establishing a meaningful connection with the divine. In essence, the idea underscores that sincere repentance is necessary for prayers to be heard and answered.

John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us:

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

1 John 5:15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Hebrew 13:5 By him, therefore, let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ

God answers our prayers only when they are in agree to His divine will. This means that our requests should reflect His purpose and guidance for our lives, rather than simply our personal desires.

It’s important to understand that His responses may not always manifest in the ways we expect, but rather in ways that ultimately serve our greater good and align with His overarching plan.

James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

God will not answer prayers that seek to indulge in fleshly desires.

To receive an answer to your prayers from God, it is essential to be reborn through the power of His Word.

John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

To have the word abiding in you, so your prayers are answered, you must be born again by the word of God and grow by studying the word.

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

You need to have faith that he will respond to your prayers.

Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Faith is the belief that you have already received something even before you actually obtain it.

Hebrews 11:6 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.

Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

To sum it all up:

God does not hear your prayers if you are a sinner.

The prayer must be His will, not from your lust.

You should wholeheartedly embrace your devotion to God and diligently strive to fulfill His divine purpose.

You must be born again through the word of God, and you should have His word residing in you by studying it.

You need to have faith that you will receive it from God.

Faith is believing you receive it before you have it.

Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Matthew 7:21  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work sin.
