Iran has warned that any United States intervention in the conflict with Israel would risk an “all-out war” as the two sides traded attacks for a sixth straight day.
Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei warned: “Any American intervention would be a recipe for an all-out war in the region.”
Iran has reportedly ready missiles to target US bases in the Middle East if America supports Israel in the ongoing conflict, now in its sixth day.
US troops at bases in the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia are on high alert. More than 40,000 American troops are deployed in the Middle East. Two Iranian officials stated that Iran would attack US bases in Iraq if the US joined the conflict involving Israel.
Iran’s leaders issued a concerning statement just before making another alarming comment about future actions. This came amid reports that US President Donald Trump was considering a military strike on Iran after meeting with national security officials at the White House on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Trump demanded Iran’s “unconditional surrender” and claimed that the U.S. knows where Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is hiding, adding he doesn’t want him killed “for now.”
Trump left the G7 Summit in Canada a day early to return to Washington and address the crisis in the Middle East. He urged “everyone” in Tehran to “immediately evacuate” and said, “Iran should have signed the deal I told them to sign.”
What a shame, and a waste of human life,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Monday. “Simply stated, Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. “I’ve said it repeatedly: Everyone must immediately evacuate Tehran!
Talks between the US and Iran regarding a deal on its nuclear program were scheduled for last week, but they were suspended indefinitely after Israel launched deadly airstrikes on Tehran early Friday.”
Israel launched a series of strikes against Iran, resulting in the deaths of prominent Iranian military officers and targeting nuclear and missile facilities. This action ignited a new conflict. In response, Iran carried out a wave of missile attacks on Israel just hours later, raising concerns about the potential for all-out war.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu argued that the attack was necessary to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. In response, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi accused Netanyahu of trying to derail talks with Washington.
Iran asserts that its nuclear program is intended for peaceful purposes, and assessments from the U.S. and other nations indicate that Tehran has not sought to develop a nuclear weapon since 2003. Since Friday, Israeli airstrikes have resulted in the deaths of at least 224 people in Iran, while 24 individuals have been killed in Israel.
