Trump moved two Nuclear Submarines to be positioned in the appropriate regions

On Friday, President Donald Trump ordered the deployment of two nuclear submarines in response to warnings from Russian official Dmitry Medvedev earlier that week.

In a social media post on Monday, Medvedev stated that each new ultimatum made by Trump regarding Russia, aimed at ending its war on Ukraine, is a threat and a step toward escalating the conflict.

“Not between Russia and Ukraine, but with his own country,” Medvedev wrote on X. Earlier, Trump announced he was cutting the deadline for Putin to reach a peace deal with Ukraine from 50 days to less than two weeks, warning of “secondary tariffs” on Moscow’s trade partners if a deal isn’t reached.

On Friday, Trump stated on Truth Social, “Given the provocative remarks from Dmitry Medvedev, the former President of Russia and current Deputy Chairman of their Security Council, I have ordered two nuclear submarines to be positioned in key areas as a precaution.”

“Words are important and can lead to unintended consequences. I hope this is not one of those cases,” Trump said. “Thank you for your attention!” 

In a tweet, Medvedev stated, “Trump is playing an ultimatum game with Russia: 50 days or 10. He should remember two things.”

“1. Russia differs from Israel and Iran. 2. Each ultimatum is a threat and brings us closer to war,” Medvedev stated. On Truth Social, Trump warned Medvedev about his rhetoric and criticized Russia’s trade with India: “I don’t care what India does with Russia. They can ruin their economies together.”

“We have done very little business with India due to its high tariffs, which are among the highest in the world. Similarly, the USA and Russia engage in minimal trade. Let’s keep it that way and remind Medvedev, the former Russian president, to watch his words, as he’s entering dangerous territory!”

Medvedev stated on Thursday, “If a few words from a former Russian president can trigger such a reaction from the current U.S. president, it shows that Russia is justified and will stay on its path.”

Medvedev responded to comments about the “dead economies” of India and Russia and the idea of “venturing into dangerous territory.” He suggested that the speaker revisit their favorite zombie movies and consider the risks of the “Dead Hand,” Russia’s system for automatically launching nuclear strikes in response to a detected nuclear attack.
