Narrow is the way, and only a FEW will Find the Truth

Jesus’ words are a powerful reminder that the pursuit of truth is the way.

He cautioned that only a few would uncover the profound knowledge of truth.

Let us take his wise words to heart and actively strive to be among those who seek and discover the truth.

The Church world needs to wake up because today, many people say they are saved, but the Bible teaches that only a few are.

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The next verse serves as a powerful warning against the dangers of false prophets.

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work sin.

Have you ever considered why some individuals miss the opportunity for eternal life? What factors contribute to this loss, and what choices do they make that lead them away from such an eternal promise?

Even though they prophesied, cast out devils, and did many wonderful works in Jesus’s name, he said he never knew them.

It is evident that they attend church and claim to be Christians, but Jesus stated that he never knew them.

1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil.

2 Timothy 3:1-8 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God. Have a form of godliness but deny they have to be godly. Ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth, people who resist the truth.

James says these types of people hear the word but don’t practice it.

James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Be cautious of false teachers, warns Peter. They will deceive you with lies and twist the truth to suit their agendas. Stay vigilant and don’t let them manipulate you.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 Peter 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

Many in the church world are not interested in the truth but prefer a version of the Bible that pleases their ears. Unfortunately, this is happening now at the end of the world.

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

These individuals are self-absorbed and seek pleasure, which causes them to gravitate toward false preachers and lukewarm churches.

2 Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

They turn away from the truth of the Bible.

You have to study the word to understand it.

2 Timothy 2:15 “Study” to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

You have to be born again of the word.

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The Word is God-breathed, our doctrine should be based on it, used for reproof as well as correction, and it is our instruction in how to be righteous.

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2 Timothy 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Eternal life is the most important thing a person can obtain on earth, but many don’t take it very seriously.

Philippians 2:20 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
