The word of God teaches differently.

The word teaches you to cleanse yourself from all filthiness by casting down every evil imagination and transforming your mind with the word of God.
2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
We are to cast down every evil imagination.
2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
We are to do this by renewing our minds with the word and being transformed.

Our bodies are the temple of God, and you are not your own.

We were bought with a price that was the blood of Jesus, who died on the Cross for us.
