What does it mean to be a Christian? Are you representatives of Jesus? While you are on earth, you stand in the place of Jesus.
When people meet you, they should perceive the Christ in your words and actions. Let your kindness and compassion serve as a testimony to Jesus teachings, making it evident that you are a reflection of His love in the world.
The only way to truly represent Jesus is to study the Bible, so you will know who you’re representing.
Representation is the action of speaking or acting on behalf of someone or the state of being so represented.
Jesus Christ serves as the example of faith for every Christian on Earth. He represents love, compassion, and righteousness, guiding believers in their spiritual journey and moral conduct. Christians strive to imitate His teachings and actions, reflecting His values in their daily lives.
Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Matthew 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Christians have certain standards of conduct they believe should guide their actions in accordance with biblical values.
Honesty involves being truthful and straightforward. These qualities are key aspects of what it means to be honest.
Ephesians 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Ephesians 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man the truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.
Integrity means being true to one’s beliefs. Adhering to Biblical principles upholds integrity and prevents hypocrisy.
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Compassion serves as what it means to be a true Christian, reflecting the heart of Jesus. It goes beyond mere sympathy; it involves showing kindness, understanding, and support to those in need. This selfless love not only strengthens our connections with others but also aligns with Jesus’ teachings.
1 Corinthians 16:14 Let all your things be done with love.
1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
1 Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent love among yourselves: for love shall cover the multitude of sins.
Every true Christian represents Jesus by being born again through the word of God, thus allowing us to have the mind of Christ.
1 Peter 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work sin.
