Do you have “Rapture Anxiety”?

CNN promotes the story of a Exvangelicals, a small group on the internet who were church people who are not anymore. The story goes on to tell about how they were young and were scared they would be left behind when Jesus returned.

You must do more than go to church but learn the truth about God and keep it.

Luke 11:28  But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

Atheists are not too smart and try to find different things to disbelieve in God or criticize God or Christians.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. What we call in the modern world dumb. The carnal mind is against God which is why we must be born again.

Romans 8:7  Because the carnal mind is enmity against God.

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

1 Peter 2:2  As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

The story goes on to say from the moment they were old enough to understand, millions of people raised in certain Christian communities are taught that rapture is something that can happen at any time.

Though there are different schools of thought about how such an event would go, the basic idea is the same: Righteous Christians ascend into heaven, while the rest are left behind to suffer.

However it happens, it is something to be both feared and welcomed, to be prayed about and prepared for every moment of a believer’s life. The story says that this person who was in this evangelical church was surrounded by constant reminders that the rapture was just around the corner.

She said she was taught never to sin since it could be the very last thing she did before Jesus returned to Earth. Dramatic rapture-themed books and movies, created as fiction, were presented as real glimpses into the end of the world.

Now, this person is an “EXevangelical” and on a network that speaks about the effects of traumatic religious experiences that can last for years, even a lifetime.

I hope they never watched TV because it has more dramatic shows than the show left behind or other cheap movies about the end.

It’s not surprising that CNN was behind it since they are antichrists.

The movie left behind always promotes that Christians don’t know when Jesus will return, but the Bible says differently.

I hope a church would teach its congregation not to sin and, if they do, to repent.

Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

Romans 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

God forbids that you sin, and if you do, repent from your sin.

Repent means a change of heart and mind.

1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Churches should teach their congregations, even the young ones, about the love of God and how he sent his son to die for their sins and about the end times and the consequences of sin.

1 John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Since the resurrection is covered in the Bible, to avoid this topic, you would not be a church, but a building with just a social group.  That has happened in many churches in these end times that gather together as a social group but don’t teach the truth of the Bible.

2 Timothy 4:3  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2 Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

You better have “rapture (caught up) anxiety” if you are a sinner. The resurrection will only take the Christians, and the others will be left.

It would be a good idea to take Peter’s advice and have holy conversations and be godly, which is your reasonable service to God.

1 Timothy 4:8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

2 Peter 3:11  Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

2 Peter 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

The story ends when the person finds out later in their life that the word “rapture: doesn’t appear in the Bible at all. The word rapture isn’t in the Bible, but being caught up is in the Bible, and the word rapture means caught up.

The resurrection of the Christians, dead and alive, Christians will be caught up unto Jesus, and the sinners will be left on earth.

You can find this event in 1 Thessalonians 4 and 1 Corinthians 15.

1 Thessalonians 4:14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

1 Thessalonians 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep .

1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

The rapture (caught up) or resurrection is to comfort the Christians and has a frightful meaning to sinners.
