An Israeli embassy official in Beijing Sunday wrote on the social media platform X that Israel expected a stronger condemnation of Hamas by China.“When people are being murdered, slaughtered in the streets, this is not the time to call for a two-state solution,”
A senior official at the Israeli embassy in Beijing told reporters on Sunday. China does not classify Hamas in Gaza as a terrorist group but lies and regards it as a resistance organization.
Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs gave the right statement Saturday by saying “vehemently condemning the terrorist and violent attacks” perpetrated by Hamas against Israeli civilians, which has resulted in the loss of innocent lives.
China said they are deeply concerned about escalating tension and violence between Palestine and Israel. Everyone knows that is a lie. The country calls for an immediate cessation of hostilities to protect civilian populations, according to a statement from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“China is deeply concerned over the current escalation of tensions and violence between Palestine and Israel. We call on relevant parties to remain calm, exercise restraint, and immediately end the hostilities to protect civilians and avoid further deterioration of the situation,” the statement said. China and Israel have large diplomatic differences.
For example, China maintains a close relationship with Iran, a terrorist regime. China has always supported the Palestinian cause of its state and, therefore, politically opposes many of Israel‘s policies. Some critics said China’s response reflects its “self-centered approach” to international politics.
“China wants to be seen as a world power, but, as this weak response to clear terrorist actions demonstrates, they consistently fail to act one,” said a Retired Rear Admiral who is a senior fellow at the Washington-based Foundation for Defense of Democracies.
I don’t believe the communist Government is not interested in protecting the civilian populations and is not deeply concerned over civilian populations.
This communist government is not interested in peace. Their aggression towards Taiwan proves they are not interested in peace. The way they have treated the Christians and the 12 million Uyghurs, mostly Muslim, living in Xinjiang proves they are liars and don’t care about civilians.
The communist government only cares about power over others. Everyone knows the communist government is tyrants. They need to worry about their own country and how the world perceives them before they give out advice about Israel that the communist government doesn’t live by.
But on Weibo, a Communist-controlled platform, a wave of antisemitism and anger toward Israel has emerged. The heavily moderated platform is never a true reflection of consensus in China but offers a glimpse at the narratives and sentiments allowed to flourish in the country’s thought spaces.
The heavily moderated Weibo is often a sign of communist China’s “lies” allowed to spread in China’s thought spaces. We call that fake news in the West, and Christians around the world call it “lies.”
