New Warning as Iran Reveals Next Target After U.S. Strikes

Iran’s military has announced its next target as it continues missile and drone strikes throughout the Middle East.

The Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters, Iran’s joint military command, announced on Wednesday that banks and financial institutions are now considered targets, following reports of employees at a Tehran bank killed in Israeli-American airstrikes.

The threat poses a significant danger to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, which is home to many international financial institutions, as well as Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

As the war enters its second week, Tehran is intensifying pressure on the region’s oil sector by targeting infrastructure and vessels. This escalation, along with a troubling plot by Iran to assassinate Donald Trump, comes amid rising global energy concerns and a persistently tense Middle East conflict.

Two Iranian drones hit an area near Dubai International Airport, the main hub for Emirates Airlines. Four people were injured, but operations continued, according to the Dubai Media Office.

Meanwhile, early Wednesday, a projectile struck a container ship off Oman’s coast in the Strait of Hormuz, igniting a fire that prompted the crew to evacuate, according to the British military.

Kuwait shot down eight Iranian drones, and Saudi Arabia intercepted five targeting the Shaybah oil field. Meanwhile, Iran has halted cargo traffic through the strait, through which one-fifth of the world’s oil is transported from the Persian Gulf to the Indian Ocean.

Tehran has attacked oil facilities and refineries in Gulf Arab states to exert economic pressure on the U.S. and Israel to stop their military actions. The UN Security Council was scheduled to vote on a Gulf Cooperation Council resolution demanding that Iran halt its attacks on neighboring Arab countries.

Israel has resumed airstrikes on Tehran, Iran’s capital, following intense attacks reported by locals on Tuesday. Explosions also occurred in Beirut and southern Lebanon as Israel targeted locations linked to Hezbollah. In central Beirut’s Aicha Bakkar neighborhood, a building caught fire, with flames consuming the upper two floors.

No casualties were reported after Israel issued warnings of three Iranian attacks early Wednesday, with sirens sounding across Tel Aviv. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s defense ministry confirmed it intercepted six ballistic missiles aimed at the Prince Sultan Air Base, a key facility operated by the U.S. and Saudi Arabia.

The ministry also confirmed that it intercepted and destroyed two drones over the eastern city of Hafar al-Batin. In the Strait of Hormuz, north of Oman, a cargo vessel was hit by a projectile, causing it to catch fire, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations center, which is operated by the British military.
