He decisively led numerous individuals from both the Jews and the Greeks, asserting that he was the Christ, as Josephus noted.
“When Pilate condemned Him to the cross based on the accusations of the leading men among us, those who had once loved Him continued to do so.
This was because He appeared to them alive again on the third day, fulfilling the words of the divine prophets who had foretold such things, along with many other miraculous events about Him.”
Christians, named after Him, remain unwavering and have not vanished. Recent discoveries in Caesarea, including mosaics that quote Paul’s letters, as well as a governor’s palace and praetorium, further affirm this lasting presence.
