“There Shall Be Diseases”: A Modern Echo of the Bible. The Bible explicitly warns us of diseases in the last days, signaling that the end times are imminent.

Diseases have always been a part of human history, but many that were once eradicated are making a comeback, and new ones are emerging. The signs of the end times are unmistakable; we are nearing the end.
Health experts are warning that declining vaccination rates could lead to a potential pandemic from four viruses: Mpox, Rubella, Bird flu, and Oropouche. These could evolve into ‘Disease X,’ an unknown pathogen that might cause a global health crisis.
Concerns are rising that the world, especially the UK, is “essentially unprepared” for another outbreak of a contagious disease like COVID-19. A research fellow at the University of Southampton’s Faculty of Medicine pointed out that Mpox outbreaks continue in various countries, including Spain.
New strains of monkeypox are emerging, indicating that the virus is now here to stay globally. Historically, it appeared sporadically in Africa for decades, but in May 2022, a surge of cases emerged worldwide in areas that had never seen it before, according to the Daily Star.
Over 100 countries, including the UK, the U.S., Australia, and Canada, were affected. By late 2025, a new mutated variant of Mpox emerged in England. Dr. Head warns that Rubella could resurface due to a drop in MMR vaccine uptake, which has reached a 15-year low.
Measles is usually mild in children, but during pregnancy, it can cause miscarriage, stillbirth, or serious birth defects like deafness and heart issues. Low vaccination rates have led to a significant rise in cases, particularly in North West England and London, marking the highest levels since 2012.
Measles is highly contagious and spreads through the breath, coughs, or sneezes of an infected person, potentially leading to severe illness or death. Meanwhile, a dangerous strain of bird flu (H5N1) has been killing wild birds and poultry since 2020, maintaining its status as a pandemic concern.
The virus has mutated to spread from birds to mammals, including cows, and has begun to be transmitted through milk. A professor at the University of Glasgow warns it could combine with seasonal flu and mutate into a form that spreads easily among humans.
“H5N1 remains a pandemic risk as it circulates among humans. While we have antiviral medications and can create vaccines, a new flu pandemic would still be challenging. Last year, the UK identified its first cases of flu-like ‘sloth fever,’ which has emerged as a health threat following increased cases in Europe.”
The Oropouche virus is transmitted to humans via bites from infected midges. Symptoms typically appear within eight days and can mirror those of dengue and Zika, including muscle soreness, eye discomfort, rashes, light sensitivity, and nausea.
An infectious disease specialist at the University of Virginia stated that Oropouche virus outbreaks are expected to affect travelers in the Americas through 2026. The virus is spread by biting midges found in North and South America, including the southeastern United States, and their range may expand.
