The Department of Homeland Security is actively searching for over 400 migrants who have entered the United States from Central Asia through a smuggling network associated with the ISIS terrorist group.
Only about 150 people have been arrested, while others are reportedly tracked across 17 states. As everyone knows, thousands have crossed the borders that no one knows about or has any idea where they are.
The majority of individuals connected to ISIS who crossed the border were permitted to remain in the country due to their absence from the terrorism watch list. This information was recently communicated via a statement released by Mark E. Green, MD (R-TN), Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security.
“Every week, we hear about individuals with ties to terrorists or other major criminals being released into our country by the Biden administration and allowed to roam freely for months or even years.”
“It’s just a matter of time before one of these individuals linked to a terrorist group is involved in something catastrophic on U.S. soil, and this administration will bear the responsibility. How much longer will we tolerate this madness?” Green demanded.
The recent attacks in Russia, including the assault on churches and synagogues in the republic of Dagestan over the weekend, have heightened concerns about the spreading presence of the terror group ISIS and its offshoots overseas.
Earlier this month, federal agents revealed that they had apprehended eight individuals in multiple U.S. cities with suspected ties to ISIS. A joint statement from federal agencies confirmed, “The detained individuals are in ICE custody awaiting removal proceedings.
The FBI and DHS will continue working around the clock with our partners to identify, investigate, and disrupt potential threats to national security.”
