The results of your actions, whether good or bad, will come back to you

The Bible teaches that as you sow, so shall you reap. To sow is to plant seeds and to reap is to gather crops.

Throughout the Bible, sowing is used as a metaphor for one’s actions and reaping for the results of those actions.

Every morning, we are presented with a range of possibilities, each requiring a decision. The consequences of our choices will be felt throughout the day, week, month, and year.

Be mindful of your actions. What you sow, you will reap

Studying the Bible can help you make choices that will benefit you throughout your life and for eternity.

The Bible can serve as a guiding light to show you the right path in life, making it important to read and understand the Word of God.

Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

If you live for your physical desires, you will experience decay. However, if you live for God, you will have eternal life.

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

The act of giving to God or someone in need operates on a universal principle. The Bible teaches that if you sow through giving, you will reap whatever you sow. If you give a little, you will reap only a little, but if you give generously, you will reap generously.

2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly, and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

2 Corinthians 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal, it shall be measured to you again.

Proverbs 14:31 He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.

“When we give to the poor, we are blessed.”

Proverbs 22:9 He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.

When we give to the poor and needy, we lend to God and He will repay us.

Proverbs 19:17 He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

“Please keep it confidential and refrain from showing it to others.”

Matthew 6:1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

1 John 3:17 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

James 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
