The Authority in the Word: Studying the Bible is Important

Rightly Dividing the Word of God! Understanding the Scriptures:

An Insightful Approach to Accurately Interpreting the Word of God! This process involves careful analysis and thoughtful consideration of the text, ensuring its intended meaning is understood in its proper context.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Studying the Word of God is essential for understanding His principles and applying them in our lives.

To begin your journey of understanding and personal growth, it’s essential to cultivate a strong desire to learn. This thirst for knowledge will motivate you to explore new ideas and concepts deeply.

Rightly divided in Greek means correctly understanding the Word of God.

We do this by precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and they’re a little, as Isaiah teaches.

Always keep the Word in context, which means the situation within which something exists or happens.

A desire to learn, a good dictionary, and a Strong concordance with your Bible are good starts.

If you take any subject and then take a Strong’s and look up all the scriptures on that word, those scriptures will lead you to the Truth on that subject.

That is the correct way to divide the Word rightly. This way, the Word is teaching you the Truth through many scriptures on a certain subject.

Many individuals in the church world fail to adhere to the word; they instead depend on books, denominational teachings, or statements from preachers to shape their doctrine. It’s essential to prioritize the scripture over these other sources that are most of the time not true.

1 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is God-breathed and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

1 Timothy 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly he furnished unto all good works.

Relying solely on one or two scriptures can lead you down the wrong path. It is essential that all doctrines are founded on multiple scriptures, each pertinent to the topic you are studying. Don’t settle for a limited perspective; ensure your beliefs are well-supported.

Your salvation is based on a doctrine that carries eternal consequences. Therefore, take the responsibility to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

1 Peter 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
