Man Is Swallowed by Whale in Modern Times

Every true Christian believes the story of Jonah, which is a small matter for God Almighty compared to creating the earth and the heavens.

Devout believers firmly believe that with the Almighty God we serve, there are no limits to what is possible.

Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

2 Corinthians 5:7  For we walk by faith, not by sight:

A 56-year-old commercial lobster diver was swallowed by a humpback whale off Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and lived to tell the tale.

His job involves retrieving lobsters from the ocean floor. He estimates he was 45 feet below the surface when the whale swallowed him.

“All of a sudden, I felt this huge bump, and everything went dark.” I could sense that I was moving. And I was like, did I just get bit by a shark? And then I felt around, and I realized there were no teeth.

And I felt no great pain. And then I realized  I’m in a whale’s mouth, and he’s trying to swallow me. And I thought to myself, Okay, this is it.  I’m going to die,”  “I was completely inside,” he said.

Loaded with heavy scuba gear and still able to breathe, he tried fighting the whale, which began “throwing his head side to side.” He eventually “saw the light.”

“All of a sudden, he went up to the surface, and just erupted and started shaking his head, and I just got thrown in the air and landed in the water,” he said.

“And I just floated. And I was just, I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t believe I got out of that. I’m here to tell it. I thought my legs were broken, but I’m only all bruised up. I made it.”

“It was happening so fast. My only thought was, how do I get out of that mouth? And I realized there was no overcoming a beast of that size. He was going to do with me what he wanted to do.

It was either he spat me out, or he swallowed me.  I was actually in his mouth for probably a good 30 seconds. But I still had my regulator on my mouth. I was still breathing.”

This is a living testimony to all those skeptics and atheists who say no one still believes a whale swallowed Jonah.

You can read the story of Jonah: Jonah chapters 1 and 2.

Jeremiah 32:17 Ah, Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:

Jeremiah 32:27 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?

I read where the former president of a Baptist university, who is now a so-called Pastor, said that no one still believes a whale swallowed Jonah.

I have a couple of scriptures for him:

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

1 Corinthians 2:15 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

2 Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight🙂

Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
