Many people in churches around the world who call themselves Christians have become like the church of the Laodiceans in Revelations.
Revelations 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
Revelations 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Revelations 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.
What has caused church people to become lukewarm? Besides them having no need of anything, I believe it’s the people behind the pulpits. The Bible teaches that at the end times, there will be false teachers.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 Peter 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
These false teachers behind the pulpit and on TV and the internet are teaching heresies. What is heresy? A religious opinion contrary to what the Bible teaches.
They teach the way of truth by twisting the scriptures to make the way of being a Christian worldly and sinful, where the so-called Christian needs to do nothing.
That lukewarm opinion teaches you don’t have to do anything after you except Jesus. So many people claim to be Christians but do nothing that resembles what the Bible teaches. If you take a worldly person who is a sinner and a so-called Christian, you can’t tell the difference.

I wonder what people don’t understand about lukewarm. You’re not hot, which would take an effort, or cold, which takes no effort. These types are dedicated to themselves and the worldly desires they have.
There only Christian, Christ-like, when they are in the church building. If it weren’t for the bumper sticker about Jesus, you would never know they were Christians. They behave like any other sinner in the world.
The only difference is they attend a church once a week and say they’re saved, whereas the sinner doesn’t go to church or say they are saved. Does going to church once a week for an hour or two and saying you’re a Christian make you a Christian?

This is why the Bible says many will go down the broad path, and only a few will find the truth.
Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Matthew 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
By the fruits of the Spirit, you should know them.

Matthew 7:21 through 7:23 teaches that not everyone that calls Jesus their lord is saved. It teaches you can prophesize, cast out demons and do wonderful works in Jesus’s name and not be saved because you work sin.
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work sin.
Why are people going to church but still living in sin? They lie to themselves because what they believe is easy, and they don’t have to give up the world that they love.
1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
1 John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

They tell themselves that they don’t have to do anything because that would be works, and the Bible says you’re saved by grace, not by works.
I really think there are not many Jewish people reading this so if you are not a Jewish person, you are a Gentile, and the works it’s talking about are the 613 commandments in the Law of the Old Testament that most Gentiles don’t even know let alone are trying to keep.
To understand the scriptures about grace and works it means you’re saved by grace, meaning nothing you could ever do would save you because we were born in sin, and only Jesus was born without sin (born by a virgin), and never sinned.
And the works, which are the works of the law, could never save you. So you are saved by grace, not by works ( works of the Law, the 613 commandments).
Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Romans 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Romans 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
I think many people who go to churches that teach false doctrine should study their Bible.
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
I believe many people should study the book of James.
James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
James 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
James 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
People who believe that Jesus died for both past, present, and future sins, and if they sin, they don’t need to repent or ask for forgiveness need to read and study the Bible.
Jesus died for your past sins, and then if you sin, you need to confess your sin to Jesus, who is our mediator with the Father, and repent (change of mind and heart).
Don’t forget John says sin not.
1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2 Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Romans 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Romans 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Romans 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Romans 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
Romans 6:13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Romans 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
