The teaching originated in the nineteenth century through the work of John Nelson Darby and gained widespread popularity in the United States through the Bible Conference movement.
The publication of the Baptist Scofield Reference Bible, which was published in 1909, made it more widespread.
So-called prophecy teachers use this false teaching to try to prove their prophecy of the end. So-called prophecy books like The Late Great Planet Earth and Left Behind series and many more try to make their teaching accurate using dispensational theology.
But if you go by dispensational theology, it is right-out nonsense. An example of the nonsense is the dispensations that say that Revelations 3 is the resurrection (rapture).
The issue is that in Chapter 3 of Revelations, John is resurrected to the heavens, not the Church being resurrected. To claim otherwise is twisting scripture to fit your belief system.
The Bible mentions John but not the church, which is a theory containing many inaccuracies. Revelations 3 teaches that John is caught up to the throne, while the Church is caught up to Jesus, with no mention of the throne room.
1 Thessalonians 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
1 Thessalonians 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
I can’t understand how John being caught up to the throne means the Church caught up to Jesus. They are lying and saying that this is the church to fit their seven dispensations.
The Bible states that anyone who denies Jesus coming in the flesh is an antichrist. In the book of John, there is a reference to the Jews of that time.
The term “antichrist” appears only four times in the Bible.
“It makes fiction books and movies more interesting.”
2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
Jesus will come as a thief in the night, another concept they use to sell their false books and movies.
Jesus will only come back as a thief in the night to those who are sinners and not watching for him. If you are a watcher of Jesus’s return, you will know the times of his coming.

If you want to create fictional books and movies, you may need to incorporate imaginative elements. This is the approach taken with dispensational theology.
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2 Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Many teach dispensationalism, claiming that the teachings of Jesus were intended only for the Jews of that time.
” I would consider anyone who teaches that to be antichrist.”
1 Timothy 6:3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the “words of our Lord Jesus Christ”, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness.
1 Timothy 6:4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
1 Timothy 6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
I don’t have the space to discuss the Second Coming, the Jewish people, another temple, etc. I recommend finding another church if you are following a teacher or pastor who teaches dispensational theology.
People who teach or believe in dispensationalism rely on books and movies rather than receiving their theology directly from the scriptures.
The Bible addresses these churches and the individuals who are part of them.
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2 Timothy 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Fables are fiction books and movies.
2 Timothy 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is God-breathed and profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness.
John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
2 Corinthians 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
2 Corinthians 11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
