The answer is in the Bible.
It doesn’t matter what a person’s opinion is. It doesn’t matter what a Church or a denomination opinion is.
People’s opinion, churches, and denominations are all human opinions which vary from person to person or church to church.
It only matters what the Bible says. This is why you must study the Word of God.
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
The scripture is God-breathed.
2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
The Bible says that God is the Word and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Isaiah prophesied that his name will be called the mighty God.
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Matthew said he will be called Emmanuel which means God with us.
Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Phillip called Jesus God and Jesus never tried to correct him.
John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
Hebrews says that Jesus is God.
Hebrews 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
In 1 John, it says Jesus is the true God.
1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
Jesus is Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end.
Revelations 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Is Jesus God? Yes. Jesus declared Himself to be God. His followers believed Him to be God. The Holy Word proclaims Jesus is God.
Timothy explains that God came in the flesh and that was Jesus the true God.
1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Revelations 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Revelations 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Revelations 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Revelations 22:15 For without are anyone with impure thoughts, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
