Many people today face a challenge similar to that of Noah in ancient times; they find it difficult to acknowledge that we are approaching the end of the world, even when the signs are all around us.
This denial persists despite the overwhelming evidence presented by climate change, natural disasters, and societal turmoil. Just as Noah was met with skepticism as he prepared for the flood, many individuals overlook the urgent warnings and indicators that suggest we need to take action before it is too late.
Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Matthew 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,
Matthew 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
These scriptures indicate that people will continue with their lives, ignoring the signs of the end, until Jesus returns and brings destruction to the earth.
Over the span of 50 years, from 1970 to 2016, global animal populations experienced a staggering decline of 68%. This alarming reduction highlights the significant impact of human activities on wildlife and ecosystems. Factors contributing to this decline include habitat destruction, climate change, pollution, and overexploitation of species. As we move forward, the situation continues to worsen.
These serious declines in wildlife species populations are an indicator that nature is unraveling and that our planet is FLASHING RED WARNING SIGNS OF SYSTEM FAILURE, said WWF director general.
This is according to the Living Planet Report 2020 assessment by the WWF’s Living planet Index, and the Zoological Society of London published.
That ONLY LEAVES 32% OF WILDLIFE IN THE WORLD. The world is losing its mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and fish, and with them, the security of ecosystems that have supported humanity.
Parts of the world are much worse off. For tropical regions in Central and South America have seen animal populations decline 94% in the same period. The size of observed animal communities in or near freshwater globally has fallen by 84%.
A healthy planet is a precondition for a healthy human society. COVID-19 is a clear manifestation of our broken relationship with nature, and highlights the deep interconnection between the health of both people and the planet, writes director-general of WWF International.
Hosea 4:3 Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall be weak, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.
2 Chronicles 7:13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attend unto the prayer that is made in this place
Luke 21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and diseases; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
