John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Many deceive themselves into thinking they can attend church and listen to the preacher talk but not do what the Bible teaches.
Are you reading the Bible and doing what it teaches?
James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
The scariest word you can hear is when Jesus will say to many people who think they are saved and are not: I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work sin.
If you do not follow the teachings of the Bible, you still have time to change and become a true Christian. Otherwise, Jesus may say these frightening words to you: “I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work sin.”
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work sin.
Many go to church and honor God with their mouths, but their hearts are far from God. The measure of a Christian is love in their actions, not just lip service.
Matthew 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
Many go to churches that honor God with their mouth, but their heart is far from God. The measure of a Christian is love. Not just lip service but in action.
God is love; if you’re of God, you will practice loving others.
1 John 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
1 John 4:13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
If you want to know whether you or someone else is a Christian, you will know by their love for others.
The spirit of love is different than what most people call love. Here is what the spirit of love is.
I Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is long-suffering, kind, not jealous, doesn’t brag, not prideful, doesn’t behave in a disgraceful way, not selfish, doesn’t get mad easy; is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, doesn’t rejoice in lies, doesn’t rejoice in evil, doesn’t rejoice in sin, but rejoices in the truth, believes all things, hopeth all things, beareth all things, Love never fails
I Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is long-suffering, Love is kind, love is not jealous, Love doesn’t brag, Love is not prideful, Love doesn’t act up, doesn’t behave in a disgraceful way. Love is not out for itself, not selfish.
Love doesn’t get mad easy; Love is not easily provoked, Love thinketh no evil, Love doesn’t rejoice in lies, evil, sin, but Love rejoices in the truth.
Love believes all things, Galatians 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
Love hopeth all things, Love beareth all things, Love never fails. You can say you believe, but if your actions don’t bear love in your life, your faith is not genuine.
Many profess that they are Christians, but they are not.
James 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
James 2:15 f a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
James 2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
James 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
James 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
James 2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
James 2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
James 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
James 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
James 2:25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
The scriptures teach that if you say you have faith in God and you are saved, then your faith will have good works that will prove your faith in God is real.
Remember, works in the Bible that many people use to teach falsely are not good works but works of the Law, and there are 613 commandments or works of the Law that we are not required to keep.
The reason Christians do good works is that they love.
1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
