Putin will soon turn his war machine on Great Britain

In October 2022, Moscow’s troops and officials secretly removed the remains of the 18th-century Russian commander, Grigory Potemkin, from St. Catherine’s Cathedral in Kherson. Potemkin was a key figure in the annexation of Crimea in 1783 and was favored by Empress Catherine the Great. This incident highlights the ongoing hostility between Russia and Britain.

The unknown whereabouts of the individuals, possibly in Moscow or Crimea, resulted from Vladimir Putin’s orders, shedding light on his motivations. This reflects his focus on history and Russia’s position in it. Despite intelligence reports, I argued that Putin is not driven by logic or a desire to modernize Russia.

He was motivated by revenge, legacy, and romance. He and his Siloviki (former and current security officials from the KGB and FSB) deny responsibility for the Soviet Union’s impact on the Russian people, believing they were actually victims of a Western conspiracy. They assert that if not for the West’s version of history, Russia would have been seen as the sole victor of the Second World War.

The Cold War could have been avoided if Eastern European countries had allied with the Soviet Union. In an essay written by Putin in June 2021, he distorts facts and claims that the Nazi-Soviet pact was advantageous to the UK.

In attempting to reshape Russia’s role in World War II, Putin blames Britain and France and distorts the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact. He ignores the massacre of 20,000 Poles at Katyn by the Red Army and secret police and the fact that Russia trained with the Wehrmacht and sold tanks to them before the invasion of Poland. A year later, Putin penned another essay: “On the Historical Unity of Russia and Ukrainians.”

The text resembles a blend of Mein Kampf and a Walter Scott novel: a mix of destiny, ethnic nationalism, and romance in an essay. Unfortunately, many “Russian experts” in government offices missed the clues it contained. The aftermath of the Iraq war made intelligence services overly cautious about making judgment calls without a thorough review.

The text emphasizes the problem of keeping experienced intelligence officers in the background, preventing ministers from gaining the necessary judgment. It also criticizes the failure of “Russian experts” in key foreign offices and highlights the aftermath of the Iraq war, which led to excessive caution in intelligence services.

Ministers often miss the valuable insight of experienced intelligence officers, leading to a one-sided perspective in intelligence analysis. Sir John Chilcot’s thorough intelligence analysis still missed the important “human factor.” Our intelligence assessments should consider our adversaries’ motivations and behaviors, not just our own.

Sir John Chilcot’s thorough intelligence analysis lacked the “human factor.” It’s crucial for politicians to understand people and their motives. Those who cannot do so aren’t effective leaders. Understanding international relations is also vital for leaders.

Politicians and leaders need to understand the room and international relations. General Gerasimov declared Russia’s determination to rise in military standing, aiming to rectify historical humiliations and settle longstanding scores.

 In Putin’s version of history, Britain, not the US, is blamed for Russia’s failures. According to Putin, Britain played a role in the Crimean War, the defeat of the Czars, the rise of Hitler, the counter-revolution, and the end of the Soviet Union.

A high-ranking member of the Russian Siloviki recently stated, “We know Britain is behind the invasion of Kursk,” even though it wasn’t true. Make no mistake, Putin is coming for Britain. We must be prepared for the inevitable.

James 1:1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?

James 1:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

Luke 21:9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.

Luke 21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and diseases; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Revelations 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
