Partakers of the Divine Nature the Way to Experience Jesus

The Bible teaches that all humans are born with a sinful nature that is inclined towards pleasing themselves, known as Adam’s nature.

Our sinful nature keeps us from fellowship with God, and we are in bondage to sin, and we are spiritually dead.

We cannot free ourselves from sin because we cannot change our natures by ourselves.

“As we become more like Jesus, sin is eliminated within us.”

By acquiring knowledge from the Bible, we can partake in the divine nature, making God’s characteristics our own.

It’s impossible for anyone to attain the qualities of God because of sin. The traits that humans possess are often imperfect and motivated by self-interest.

There is a significant difference between human love or righteousness and the love and righteousness of God.

The fruit of the Spirit replaces the sin in your flesh, revealing the divine nature.

2 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

2 Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

2 Peter 1:5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

2 Peter 1:6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

2 Peter 1:7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

2 Peter 1:8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

If you lack these things you are spiritually blind.

2 Peter 1:9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

Romans 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

1 John 4:5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

1 John 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

By studying the word of God, we are born again and grow to obtain the divine nature of the fruit of the Spirit.

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.

When we open our hearts to the Bible and embrace its teachings, a seed of truth is planted within us. This seed has the power to transform our lives. Therefore, let us diligently study the Bible and allow the truth or divine seed to grow so that wisdom and enlightenment may fill us.

As we learn the truth, our minds turn to God, and we can become children of God by transforming into Christ.

Reading and studying the Word allows us to grow and take on divine nature. We become transformed by renewing our minds with the Word of God.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2:21 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

2 Corinthians 6:17-18 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
