Saudi Arabia’s decision to open its borders to tourists in 2019 led to a surprising number of Christians entering the country searching for Bible sites. Many believe Moses probably visited present-day Saudi Arabia.
Most important for Christians is Mount Sinai, where Moses received the Ten Commandments from God, which could have been in what is now Saudi Arabia. However, other people believe Mount Sinai’s location is present-day Egypt.
Christians of all beliefs were among the first to use Saudi Arabia’s new tourist visas. The number of visas have increased since then, claiming that Saudi Arabia, not Egypt, is the location of Mount Sinai.
