Louisiana first state to Display 10 Commandments in Schools

Louisiana attempts to teach children morals by displaying 10 Commandments in Schools. Louisiana requires the Ten Commandments to be displayed in every public school classroom.

My opinion is many evil people in America don’t want morals taught. All liars will burn in the lake of fire as they are of their father, the devil.

Revelations 21:8  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone.

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Republican Governor Jeff Landry signed HB71 into law after it passed in the Louisiana Senate in a 30-8 vote and then in the state House by a 79-16 vote. The American Civil Liberties Union plans to challenge the law, potentially taking the case to the U.S. Supreme Court.

If the law passes legal challenges, Louisiana classrooms receiving state funding will be required to display the Ten Commandments. The commandments displays would be paid for by private donations, so the state wouldn’t fund them.

Louisiana State Rep. Dodie Horton (R) introduced a bill to implement the Ten Commandments in classrooms, stating it as the basis for all laws in Louisiana and honoring the country’s religious origins. She hoped Louisiana would be the first state to allow the moral code back in classrooms.

“Since I was in kindergarten (at a private school), it was always on the wall. I learned a God existed, and I knew to honor him and his laws.”All the “no” votes to the bill came from Democrats. Which is no surprise!

“I didn’t have to learn the Ten Commandments in school. We went to Sunday school,” said Sen. Royce Duplessis (D-New Orleans).”You want your kids to learn about the Ten Commandments, take them to church.”Duplessis also doesn’t want to deal with the legal challenges. “We’re going to spend valuable state resources defending the law when we really need to be teaching our kids how to read and write,” he said.”I don’t think this is appropriate for us to mandate.”

Many people don’t read or understand the Bible or even practice what it says. Any decent person should want to teach children morals!

The 10 commandments are laws to love God and your neighbor.

1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

1 John 4:8  He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

1 John 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

1 John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

1 John 4:11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

1 John 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

1 John 4:13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

The 10 commandments are laws of God that are covered within two commandments.

By loving God and loving your neighbor the way Jesus taught you, you are keeping the 10 commandments.  The first four are for God, the fifth is for Father and Mother, and the last five are for your neighbor.

Matthew 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Matthew 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.

Matthew 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Matthew 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox signed a bill in March allowing the study of the Ten Commandments in schools, while an initial version of the bill required the Commandments to be posted in public schools. Similar legislation has been attempted in Texas, South Carolina, and Utah, according to a report by Higher Ed Dive.

A bill to display the Ten Commandments in public schools has stalled in the Oklahoma Legislature. Similar measures also failed to pass in South Carolina and Texas last year.

In 1980, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that a Kentucky law requiring public schools to post the Ten Commandments in each classroom was unconstitutional. The decision in Stone v. Graham found the law to violate the First Amendment’s establishment clause due to its religious nature.

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.

The power that Paul was speaking of is:

Ephesians 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Ephesians 1:20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

Ephesians 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world but also in that which is to come:

1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

John says that here is God’s love, not that we loved him, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

1 John 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

1 John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

1 Corinthians 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

1 Corinthians 15: 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
