Radical Hindu Ideology to Push Christianity Out of India

Last year, India’s prime minister inaugurated a controversial temple dedicated to a Hindu deity. The temple was constructed on the site of a historic mosque, sparking widespread debate. This move is seen as a significant political statement by the populist leader who aims to transition the country from a secular democracy to a Hindu state.

There has been a recent increase in violence against Christians in India, as many people believe that the country should only belong to Hindus. Some individuals advocate for the elimination of all other religions from society, and certain states have already passed laws aiming to penalize non-Hindus.

It’s all part of a troubling trend emerging in the world’s largest democracy. Millions of Indians believe the country belongs only to Hindus and that all other religions, including Christianity and Islam, must be wiped out.

The one true God is the God of the Bible, and the only path to reach Him is through the Son of God, Jesus the Christ.

Christ means anointed, the Messiah.

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.

John 4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

John 4:26 Then Jesus said, “He is talking to you now, I am the Messiah.”

1 Corinthians 8:6 Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Human rights groups have accused India’s Prime Minister and his government of supporting extremist views, leading to a surge in violence against Christians, often with tacit approval from the central government in recent years.

Hindus account for just under 80% of India’s population, while Muslims make up 14%. Christianity is the third-largest religion in India, with approximately 26 million followers, constituting about 2.3% of the population, and their numbers are steadily increasing.

India, with 1.4 billion people, is the world’s largest democracy. However, since the Hindu-led BJP government and Narendra Modi took power in 2014, advocates say democracy has been in retreat.

A commissioner on the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom stated that it is one of the most sophisticated governments in terms of restricting religious freedoms outside of China.

USCIRF has reported a surge in violence against Christians under Modi’s rule, with most attacks linked to Hindu extremist groups associated with the prime minister’s party.

Modi is accused of fanning the flames of Hindutva, a radical ideology that teaches only Hindus are true Indians and that all other religions, especially Christians and Muslims, are foreigners who must be removed from society.

Whoever holds office can impact democracy, as evident in America with the current president.

They have a goal to push Christianity out of India. They see India as the holy land of Hinduism, and they intend to force that to happen. That includes passing laws that criminalize religious conversions, particularly targeting Christian and Muslim minorities.

Last September, Karnataka became the 10th Indian state to pass the Anti-Conversion Law, carrying a 3 to 5-year prison term for forcibly converting people to Christianity.

In 12 of India’s 28 states, controlled by Modi’s BJP party, laws regulating religious conversions have been passed, leading to increased mob violence against Indian Christians.

Pray for the Christians of India.

Phillippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

John 15:18 If the world hates you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

1 Peter 3:14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled.

1 Peter 3:16 Having a good conscience. that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

1 Peter 3:17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
