As Christians, we boldly celebrate our freedom in Christ and recognize the profound sacrifice Jesus made to liberate us from sin and death.
The Bondage of Sin describes the profound captivity of a life marked by sin prior to encountering Christ. The struggle and entrapment that bind the soul highlight the transformative journey towards redemption.
For someone to be set free, they must first have to be bound or imprisoned.
Before becoming a Christian, you were a captive of sin. We had no ability to overcome the influence of sin. Sin ruled over us and kept us imprisoned.
When you are born again, you receive a new nature. By studying the Bible, we grow closer to God and become free from the control of our sinful nature. As a result, we can truly say that we have been set free from sin.
