Odds of “City Killer” Asteroid is Now 1 in 32 Chance of Collision with Earth

The likelihood that the “city killer” asteroid 2024 YR4 will impact Earth has significantly increased, reaching a “historic” level.

Scientists initially estimated a 1 in 83 chance of a collision with Earth. This estimate was subsequently revised to 1 in 43, and the probability has increased to a concerning 1 in 32 chance of collision with Earth in the next seven years.

This asteroid is estimated to be about 177 feet (54 meters) in diameter, roughly the size of the Statue of Liberty. NASA’s estimated probability of asteroid 2024 YR4 hitting Earth in 2032 has steadily increased.

The explosion of eight million tons of TNT generated a force that is equivalent to 500 times the power of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima at the end of World War II. This immense power mirrors the impact of a colossal mass colliding with Earth.

The potential impact zone spans a significant area, beginning from the Pacific Ocean and reaching eastward through South America, the Atlantic Ocean, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. This substantially threatens over 100 million people residing in these regions.

Understanding the asteroid’s orbit and size is crucial to assessing its danger. Current estimates based on reflected light are unreliable. This is a race against time. Astronomers must gather as much information as possible about the asteroid, as it will soon become too faint for current telescopes to observe.

The European Space Agency blog recently revealed that the asteroid will be observed in two phases. The first observation will occur in early March when it is at its brightest, followed by a second round of observations in May.

The recent observations will assist in refining the asteroid’s orbital calculations until it becomes visible again in 2028. According to NASA’s Center for Near Earth Object Studies (CNEOS), this potentially dangerous asteroid could pass relatively close to Earth on December 22, 2032, within 66,000 miles (106,200 kilometers).

If you’re like many people, you may have little confidence in NASA. Yesterday, NASA announced in an X post that the space rock has a 1 in 67 chance of hitting home in 2032.

It was 1 in 83 chance of a collision with Earth, then 1 in 43, then I in 32, and now 1 in 67 chance of a collision with Earth. I wonder why people have little confidence in NASA. Could NASA  be Democrats?

Experts have indicated insufficient time to construct and launch an asteroid deflection mission before the projected impact date of December 22, 2032.

Designing, developing, and executing a successful asteroid deflection mission typically requires at least 10 years of work. Unfortunately, it will take less than eight years to implement a response before it could potentially collide with Earth.

No matter where it hit on Earth, the collision could lead to catastrophic consequences, including powerful earthquakes, devastating tsunamis, and a long-lasting phenomenon known as “impact winter,” which could severely disrupt global climate and ecosystems.

Revelation 6:13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

Revelation 6:14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

Revelation 6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

Revelation 6:16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

Revelation 6:17  For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

2 Peter 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

2 Peter 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

2 Peter 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat.
