Food is Power: China Moves to Dominate World Food Supply

During the pandemic, the global supply chain was disrupted, leading to food shortages in the US. Although the situation has improved, the potential for future global events to create similar disruptions remains.

Two experts caution about a potential conflict between the United States and China over control of the world’s food supply. This new type of war is occurring at present without any military involvement or actual fighting.

It’s a global power struggle with serious implications. The question is: who will emerge as the dominant force in the world food supply? “Food is power.”

“We need to remember that, and this is very dangerous for the United States,” warned Kip Tom, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations for Food and Agriculture.

China is determined to seize control of the African continent. “It’s not just about mining and critical minerals. It’s about agricultural productivity,” he explained.

China analyst Gordon Chang of the Gatestone Institute believes that China is experiencing worsening food shortages and declining self-sufficiency percentages.

This year, ports in Shanghai are reportedly set to receive a quarter of a million tons of food from Africa, valued at more than half a billion dollars.

The African Union aims to boost trade with Beijing and acquire Chinese innovation to enhance long-term food production. Current agricultural technology has contributed to South Africa and Nigeria becoming the continent’s top food producers.

Tom explained that the Chinese Communist Party invests in infrastructure and natural resources in Africa, intending to make the continent a breadbasket for China’s 1.4 billion people.

A potential conflict over Taiwan or tariffs and trade disputes could endanger the food supply in the United States. Regimes under threat sometimes use food as a weapon against their adversaries.

In the 1990s, the people of South Sudan resisted converting to Islam, and in retaliation, the Khartoum government cut off their food supply, leading to the deaths of many from starvation.

Chang warns Americans to learn about food scarcity from the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, when U.S. consumers couldn’t find meat at grocery stores, the world’s top pork producer, Chinese-owned Smithfield Foods, shipped pork to China.

China is reducing its reliance on U.S. food by turning to Brazil, its top agricultural products exporter, now supplying 20% of China’s food. Americans have not been good at doing that. We simply ignore what our enemies say.

America ignored Osama bin Laden until 9/11, and we’re currently ignoring the Chinese. Chang argues that China is driven by the doctrine of tianxia, which asserts that the CCP has the authority to govern everything under the sky and is duty-bound to do so.

“China seeks to control the global food supply as part of its ambition to dominate the world,” he stated. “Therefore, it’s crucial to grasp the context and the importance of what’s happening.”

Isaiah 56:10 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot barksleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

Isaiah 56:11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

Ezekial 3:18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Ezekial 3:19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turns not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

Ezekial 3:20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Ezekial 3:21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

Luke 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and CARES OF THIS LIFE, and so that day come upon you unawares.

Luke 21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Luke 21:36 Watch ye, therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Matthew 24:45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

Matthew 24:46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
