Bees are dying at an alarming rate in great numbers worldwide.
Bees do more than just produce honey; they are essential pollinators for many of the crops we cultivate. Approximately one-third of the food we consume relies on their pollination.
Grass is fundamentally reliant on bees since it requires nitrogen in the soil, which clover generates. Clover is dependent on bees for pollination. This crucial relationship ties back to cattle, the source of dairy products such as milk, butter, and cheese.
Bees play a crucial role in pollinating the majority of flowering crops, which provide us with many of our fruits, vegetables, and nuts.
Some examples of these crops include beans, soybeans, broccoli, sprouts, carrots, cucumbers, onions, parsnips, squash, tomatoes, almonds, cashews, apples, blackberries, blueberries, cacao, coffee, grapes, kiwis, mangoes, pears, raspberries, alfalfa, sesame, and sunflowers, to name just a few.
The decline in the bee population poses a significant threat to human survival by disrupting the food chain. Bees play a crucial role in pollinating many crops and wild plants, which are essential for producing fruits, vegetables, and nuts.
Without these vital pollinators, agricultural yields could drastically decrease, leading to food shortages and increased prices. This ripple effect could ultimately impact nutrition and food availability for people around the world, highlighting the urgent need to address the factors contributing to the decline in bee populations.
Albert Einstein famously stated, “Humanity cannot endure more than five years if honeybees were to vanish.” This highlights the crucial role bees play in our ecosystem and food production. Their decline poses a serious threat to our survival.
Just in 3 months, 500 million bees died in Brazil.
Honey bees are just one example of the significant decline in insect populations. In fact, we have witnessed a staggering 75 percent reduction in total flying insect biomass in protected areas over the last 27 years. This decline is alarming and cannot be ignored.
Scientists are saying we are in a mass extinction-level event.
Bee colonies worldwide have been collapsing at an unprecedented rate in recent years. This alarming trend concerns many food producers because it impacts crops that rely directly or indirectly on bees for pollination.
Colony collapse has been reported in Europe, Asia, and the United States. In some regions of China, bees have completely disappeared.
The Bible’s prophecy to Israel in the book of Hosea is relevant today, especially regarding the end of the world.
Hosea 4:1 The LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
Hosea 4:2 By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.
Hosea 4:3 Therefore shall the land mourn, and everyone that dwelleth therein shall languish=lose or lack vitality; grow weak or feeble, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.
Luke 21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and diseases; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
