Last night, during the debate between President Trump and Harris, a CBS news commentator and Harris mocked President Trump about his discussion of the influx of migrants in Springfield, Ohio.
There have been reports from citizens of Springfield to Ohio officials that Haitians are abducting their pets and wildlife.
The governor of Ohio will dispatch law enforcement and millions of dollars in healthcare resources to the city of Springfield to address a surge in Haitian migrants, which has brought national attention to the town.
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine believes the federal government needs to offer more help to impacted communities.
His news conference was held just hours before the presidential debate between Harris and President Donald Trump since Harris has done nothing to stop immigration.
On Monday, Ohio’s Republican Attorney General Dave Yost made it clear that he is taking action by directing his office to research legal avenues, including filing a lawsuit to stop the federal government from sending “an unlimited number of migrants to Ohio communities.”
Thousands of Haitian migrants have arrived in the city in recent years, fleeing the longstanding unrest in their home country, which has given way to violent gangs ruling the streets.
DeWine explained that Ohio has already allocated additional resources to Springfield to assist with driver education and training, provide funding for more vaccines and health screenings in schools, and improve translation services.
But he is also taking additional action. “These dramatic surges impact every citizen of the community,” he said. He noted that additional influxes are occurring in Findlay and Lima, Ohio.
“Moms who have to wait hours in a waiting room with a sick child, everyone who drives on the streets, and it affects children who go to school in more crowded classrooms.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol will be dispatched to aid local law enforcement on Wednesday to help local law enforcement with traffic issues that officials say have cropped up due to an increase in Haitians unfamiliar with U.S. traffic laws using the roads.
DeWine has dedicated $2.5 million over two years to enhance primary healthcare services through the county health department and private healthcare institutions.

At the debate, President Trump questioned the authenticity of her support for Israel, noting that she had skipped Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyhau’s July address to Congress—an event that she was meant to preside over as vice president.
“She hates Israel. She wouldn’t even meet with Netanyahu when he went to Congress to make a very important speech. She refused to be there because she was at a sorority party of hers,” Trump said of Harris.
“If she’s president, I believe that Israel will not exist within two years from now, and I’ve been pretty good at predictions,” he said.
Trump noted that less than a month before October 7th, the Biden administration chose to unfreeze billions of dollars in Iranian assets as part of a prisoner exchange deal.
“Iran has $300 billion because they took off all the sanctions that I had,” Trump said. “Iran had no money for Hamas or Hezbollah or any of the 28 different spheres of terror, and they are spheres of terror, horrible terror.”
“We’re playing with World War Three and where is our president? We don’t even know if he’s the president,” Trump said.
President Biden was replaced after polls showed he could not win and was replaced with Harris.
