The Terrorism Warning Lights Are Blinking Red Again

Over the past year, an increasing number of national security insiders have been predicting an imminent terror attack in the U.S. According to top intelligence officials, three different categories of terror threats have been identified: international, domestic, and state-sponsored.

They emphasize that at this moment, warning lights on all three are flashing red. “As I reflect on my career in law enforcement, I struggle to recall a time when so many threats to our public safety and national security were simultaneously so heightened,’ FBI Director Christopher Wray informed lawmakers this spring.”

After the October 7th attack in Israel, Wray expressed concern about the international threat. He stated, “These terrorist organizations don’t usually agree, but they seem united in calling for attacks on us.”

Senior defense officials support Wray’s concerns. In March, General Michael Kurilla, the CENTCOM commander, highlighted the growing strength of ISIS-K in the Middle East, with at least 5,000 fighters of unknown whereabouts. He warned lawmakers that “ISIS-Khorasan can launch attacks against U.S. and Western interests abroad in as little as six months, with little to no warning.”

“Many Americans have forgotten that we are still at war against ISIL-K, and we have been successful in killing a significant number of them. This message was conveyed by Harvard Professor Graham Allison, who served at the Pentagon in the first Clinton administration. He recently joined former Deputy CIA Director Michael Morell in using Foreign Affairs magazine to communicate this important message.”

Lawmakers shouldn’t dismiss the instincts and expertise of government officials, whose past warnings led to government response. Before 2000, there was concern within the terrorist community about disrupting the U.S.

After President Clinton and the intelligence community took the threat seriously, they found evidence about a potential terrorist. He was stopped while trying to drive with explosives from Canada to LA Airport, intending to carry out a large-scale attack. Allison recalled it as a significant event.

He also points to recent terrorism in Europe as significant. Russia has already seen two attacks this year. The first was in March, with ISIS-K attacking a concert hall, followed three months later by a deadly attack on churches and synagogues. ISIS, meanwhile, is threatening the upcoming Paris Olympics.

“This same group, whom we’re at war with, who we’re actually killing, has made repeated statements about their intention to conduct a terrorist attack against us, so I would take them seriously,” Allison said. Here at home, individuals associated with Islamic terror organizations are crossing the southern border into the U.S.

Last month, the FBI arrested eight men from Tajikistan who entered the country illegally. They had undergone vetting before being allowed in. According to Michael Pregent from the Hudson Institute, they are already in the country and are either in the planning stages or looking at targets.

As a former intelligence official with 30 years of experience in counter-terrorism, Pregent believes that America is most likely to experience an attack after the November presidential election. He states, “If I’m a terrorist leader, I don’t attack before that. I get everything in place, and we see what happens with the election.”

An Idaho man is facing federal terrorism charges after authorities say he was going to attack churches in his hometown of Coeur d’Alene. The FBI arrested Alexander Mercurio just hours before he planned to kill churchgoers and set fire to their buildings.

Authorities say the 18-year-old is allegedly an ISIS sympathizer. He reportedly told an informant he was going to harm his father and steal his weapons, then go from church to church killing as many people as possible until he was killed.

He and Allison are adamant that the president’s primary responsibility as Commander-in-Chief is to keep America safe, which must remain the priority, even in a chaotic election year.

James 1:1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?

James 1:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtainye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

Luke 21:9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.

Luke 21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and diseases; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Revelations 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
