“Warning” Insect Apocalypse is happening now!

A SIGN OF THE END OF THE WORLD! Scientists warn that the disappearance of insects would significantly affect the environment and production system. A recent study by the Biodiversity and Environment Research Center at University College London found that in some agricultural areas, the number of “insects has decreased by 63% in 10 years.” Insects have also decreased by 25% in their natural habitat.

A 2019 Technical University of Munich study found that only “33% of insect species survive in intensively farmed areas over ten years.”

The Munich study does not downplay the importance of the disappearance of insects recorded in the forests of Germany, where, according to their findings, 40% of the insects have been lost since 2007.

Insects have critical roles. Some flying ones pollinate, while others control pests and decompose matter to release nutrients into the soil.

Insects are a food source for many birds, amphibians, bats, and reptiles, and plants rely on them for pollination.

Flying insects have important ecological functions, for which their numbers matter greatly.

The lack of insects has far-reaching consequences for entire ecosystems. Pollinating insects improve or stabilize the yield of three-quarters of all crop types globally.

Around 60 percent of birds rely on insects for food. At least 80 percent of wild plants depend on them for pollination. If insects disappear, ecosystems everywhere will collapse.

In the case of pollination, it should be noted that it is also essential for the crops themselves that are intended for human consumption, so the disappearance of these insects would cause serious problems in the global production and supply system.

The importance of pollinating insects for our crops is demonstrated by the fact that around 80% of cultivated plants depend on this function fulfilled by insects. A professor at the University of Sussex in England points out that “without insects, 80% of wild plant species would not be able to reproduce and would end up becoming extinct.”

Insects are essential for “75% of crops to be profitable and our survival,” but they are disappearing at an alarming rate. A study by the Technical University of Munich suggests that insects could become completely extinct which would have severe consequences for our ecosystem and food supply.

Without pollinating insects, our diet would rely solely on wind-pollinated crops like wheat and corn, eliminating fruits and vegetables.

Studies indicate that there is a concerning situation in high-intensity agricultural areas of tropical countries. These areas are home to most of the 5.5 million insect species, which are at risk due to climate change and the loss of their natural habitats.

Puerto Rico’s Luquillo rainforest has seen a “60% drop in insect species” compared to the 1970s due to a two-degree temperature rise in the past 50 years. WWF referred to the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s study, which highlights this issue.

In Europe, scientists have shown a significant loss of pollinating insects in countries such as the United Kingdom. The number of butterflies has decreased by between 30 and 50% throughout the continent, and in Germany, the variety of flying insects has been reduced by 76%.

The Guardian published a study in 2022 warning of a “60% decline in flying insects in Great Britain since 2004,” with a “34% drop per decade”, which scientists have described as disturbing.

According to The Guardian, Denmark’s decline is even more pronounced. A significant “loss of insects would reach 80% of the total population between 1997 and 2017.”

“China bees have long disappeared from their growing areas.”

However, insects are also the most diverse and numerous animals on the planet. If insects are in trouble, the world is in trouble.

In Hosea the Bible gives a prophecy to Israel which I’m sure it applies today to the end of the world.
