The real faith journey is seeking the truth from the word of God.
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 Peter 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
The way of truth is being evil spoken of when they claim all these sinners are Christian and which teaches people that famous people of the world are Christian.
I read again on a so-called Christian site about another story of an actor who they claim writing an article about him that he is a Christian.
They have the nerve to put at the bottom a disclaimer of the article by the editor, reporting about the faith journey of a high profile individual the site doesn’t endorse past or current behavior that may not line up with the word of God.
They’re just reporting on the positive results of their spiritual walk.
They say how he claims to be filled with the Holy Spirit. This actor has led a sinner’s life and starred any many movies that were not Christian but were right out evil.
But because he keeps saying these proverbs to people that he makes up, they claim that makes him of God and claim his made-up sayings are of God.
Their reporting of this comes down to if you say you’re a Christian then you are one.
It’s just another way for the lukewarm fallen church to drag the world into Christianity.
Revelations 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
Revelations 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
1 John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
The Bible says this is how you know a Christian.
Matthew 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Not because you say you’re a Christian but because you have the fruits of a Christian.
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Galatians 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Not the fruits of entertainment.
Luke 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

This is what Christianity has become in the modern world.
It’s these so-called Christian sites, many different denominations, and so-called Christian TV that have watered down the word where the idea of a Christian is anyone who says they are one or says something about God or prays are called Christian.
The word Christian comes from the Bible and was first used in Antioch.
Acts 11:26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught many people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. They were disciples which means followers of Jesus. Christians were of a way and that way was Jesus’s way which is taught in the Bible.
Acts 9:2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.
John 14:16 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Many of these if not all of these high-profile individuals are not followers of Jesus.
And who cares if he or she is a worldly actor, sports figure, singer, or politician that is supposed to be a Christian?
That is the opposite of what the Bible teaches.
James 2:9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
God did not choose the rich of this world or the mighty or the noble but the foolish, weak, and the nobodies of the world to glorify Jesus and not themselves.
1 Corinthians 1:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
1 Corinthians 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
1 Corinthians 1:28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
1 Corinthians 1:29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
A Christian is not based on if you Go to church once a week, wear a tee-shirt or hat with writings about God, a bumper sticker about God, give tithes into a church, say you’re a Christian, quote scripture from the Bible, saying you’re filled with the Holy Spirit.
A Christian is not based on saying you’re born again, giving God glory for winning a sporting advent, praying before or after a sporting advent, singing a choir, doing good work, being in a certain denomination, being a conservative, being a republican and the list goes on that isn’t what a Christian is.
Now a Christian might do some of these things, but it’s not what a Christian is based on or how you know a Christian.
A Christian is a person who has repented from their sins, who studies the Bible and is born again by the Word of God.
Repent change of mind and change of heart.
Matthew 4:7 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Born again by the Word of God.
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

Many people have been misled by preachers, denominations, websites, and TV in this modern world. Anyone who is really interested in eternal life should put all books aside and study the word of God.
There is only one way to God, and that is Jesus. And the Word was made flesh, and that is Jesus who you must follow.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 14:16 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Not doctrines of denominations or men, but the doctrine of God.
2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is God-breathed and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
2 Timothy 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Many will not find the truth but only a few.
Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work sin.
